Soung Hnin San was crowned Miss Earth Myanmar 2023 on Saturday, October 14 at the Royal Mei Hua Function Hall in Yangon. The 18-year-old beauty hailing from Muse, Shan State bested 19 other contestants from across the country to win the glittering national competition. She succeeded Linn Htet Htet Kyaw (Miss Earth Myanmar 2021) and will now prepare to represent Myanmar at the Miss Earth 2023 pageant in Vietnam this coming December. Myanmar made its Miss Earth debut in 2014 with Ei Mon Khine in the Philippines. Its highest placement was in the Top 8 with Amara Shune Lei during the Miss Earth 2020 virtual edition. Eve Gilles was crowned Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2023 in a regional competition held on Saturday, October 14 at the Arena Stade Couvert de Liévin. The 20-year-old student hailing from Quaëdypre bested 15 other competitors to win the pageant. She succeeds last year's winner Agathe Cauet (Miss France 2023 first runner-up) and will represent the region of Nord-Pas de Calais at Miss France 2024. Her court of runners-up consists of Axelle Sagot (first runner-up), Lilou Degorre (second runner-up), Inessaf Karoumi (third runner-up), and Mélyssa Thélu (fourth runner-up). The 94th Miss France will be held on December 16 at the Zénith de Dijon in Dijon. Indira Ampiot of Guadeloupe will crown her successor at the end of the event. A press conference and announcement for the upcoming Miss Earth 2023 pageant was held on Monday, October 16 at the Gem Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Ewa, a certified nurse with a specialization in anesthesiology and currently studying public health, was crowned Miss Polonia 2023 last June at the Nosalowy Dwór Resort & Spa in Zakopane.
