Miss CosmoWorld Philippines 2023 is Elda Louise Aznar of Davao del Sur


Elda Louise Aznar was crowned Miss CosmoWorld Philippines 2023 in a glittering competition held at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City, Philippines.

The 27-year-old beauty representing Davao del Sur bested 20 other competitors to win the national title. She succeeds last year's titleholder and reigning Miss CosmoWorld 2022 Meiji Cruz.

Jasmine Urquico Omay of Carrascal, Surigao del Sur, and Lienel Peña Navidad of Albay, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.

No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss CosmoWorld Philippines is a former contestant at Miss Philippines Earth 2021 and Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageants.

Elda will now prepare to represent the Philippines at Miss CosmoWorld 2023 to be held in Malaysia this coming November.

The inaugural edition of the Miss CosmoWorld Philippines was hosted by news anchor and former beauty queen Gianna Llanes with Mister Supranational Cuba and YouTuber Luis Portelles.

Miss CosmoWorld founder Carrie Lee, actress Sanya Lopez, former Miss Globe Maureen Montagne, and former Miss Grand Philippines Samantha Bernardo were among the distinguished panel of judges.

Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. Abbie Stockard from Vestavia Hills, Alabama was crowned Miss America 2025 on Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. The 22-year-old nursing student and cheerleader at Auburn University beat 51 other contestants to win the national title. Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
