Christi McGarry to represent Taguig at Miss Universe Philippines 2024

Christi McGarry, the former first runner-up of Miss Intercontinental 2015, has been officially appointed as Miss Universe Philippines - Taguig 2024. The 33-year-old Filipino-American model and TV personality will proudly represent Taguig in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 competition. Christi was a fellow contestant of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach in Binibining Pilipinas 2015. She was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015 and had the honor of representing the Philippines in the Miss Intercontinental 2015 pageant held in Germany. Making history, she became the first Filipina to represent her country twice in the same international pageant. The 34-year-old model edged out 19 other contestants to win the regional competition. She will now prepare to represent Cebu at Miss Universe Philippines 2024. Bianca Nicole Caraballo was crowned Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2024 in a national competition held on Thursday, February 1 at the Teatro Francisco Arriví in San Juan. Reigning Miss Universe Thailand and Mis Universe 2023 first runner-up Anntonia Porsild reunited with Michelle Dee when she touched down in the Philippines for the first time on Monday, January 29. The Thai beauty was also welcomed by "PorDee" fans and members of the media who flocked to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 for her arrival. Peru's Maricielo Gamarra bested 26 other competitors to be crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2023 on Sunday, January 28 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The 29-year-old communications graduate succeeds last year's winner, also from Peru,  Arlette Rujel . She is the second Peruvian woman to win the international title. The 30-year-old host, model, and entrepreneur from Cebu will be the first-ever Filipina representative in the international competition. No stranger to pageantry, Maria was a contestant at Binibining Pilipinas 2016. Marcela Miranda to represent Guatemala at the 71st Miss World

Marcela Miranda has been officially appointed as Miss World Guatemala 2023 and will represent her country in the upcoming 71st Miss World competition. The 20-year-old is an accountant by profession and currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in commerce and international relations. She speaks English and Spanish. Marcela is also a professional dancer in Latin, modern, and classical genres and is expected to showcase her talent during the 71st Miss World Talent competition. She was part of the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team for 14 years and is currently a rhythmic gymnastics coach. For her Beauty with a Purpose project "Moving to Heal," she teaches rhythmic gymnastics to girls who have been victims of abuse and provides a safe space for them to feel liberated and motivated. Fabiola Calvo appointed as Miss Asia Pacific Costa Rica 2024

Fabiola Calvo has been officially announced as Miss Asia Pacific Costa Rica 2024 and will represent her country at the next Miss Asia Pacific International competition. The 28-year-old is a professional nurse, entrepreneur, activist, and health advocate. She is no stranger to pageantry, having placed in the Top 10 at Miss Costa Rica 2016 and Top 5 at Miss Costa Rica 2023. Fabiola also held the title Miss America Latina Costa Rica 2019 and went on to compete in Miss America Latina 2019 where she placed in the Top 5. It has yet to be announced when and where the next Miss Asia Pacific International edition will be held. The international pageant was last held in 2019 with Spain's Chaiyenne Huisman winning the title in Pasay City, Philippines.
