Miss Grand International 2020: Who stood out from the swimsuit competition?


Miss Grand International 2020 Swimsuit Competition was held on Saturday, March 20 at the Lebua at State Tower - home of lavish suites, breathtaking views, fine dining, and iconic rooftop bars.

Hosted by former Miss Grand Thailand, Pamela Pasinetti, the competition showcased 63 contestants and their gorgeous swimsuit bodies with the breathtaking view of Bangkok, Thailand as a backdrop.

The combined scores of the swimsuit competition, preliminary, and final will determine the winner for the Best in Swimsuit award that will be announced on the final show this March 27 at the SHOW DC Hall.

Standouts from today's competition were from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Japan, Kenya, Mauritius, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Russia, and Vietnam.

Also worth a special mention are Canada, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Indonesia, Ireland, Myanmar, Poland, Spain, and the United States.

Miss Universe Philippines 2025 is Maria Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province

Maria Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 on Friday, May 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The 27-year-old from  Candelaria bested 65 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. No stranger to pageantry, Ahtisa is a former  Binibining Pilipinas International titleholder who went on to place first runner-up at the Miss International 2018 competition in Japan. She eventually joined Miss Universe Philippines 2024 and finished second runner-up. The national organization then awarded her the title of Miss Cosmo Philippines. In October last year, she was sent to compete in the inaugural edition of the Miss Cosmo pageant in Vietnam where she made the Top 10. Laura Gnjatović beat 13 other contestants to win Miss Universe Croatia 2025 on Monday, April 28 at Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. The 23-year-old nursing student from Zadar was crowned by her predecessor, last year's winner Zrinka Ćorić. She will now prepare to represent Croatia at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Miss Universe Philippines 2025, the sixth edition of the annual pageant has culminated last night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Heavy favorite Maria Ahtisa Manalo, 27, from Candelaria, Quezon Province, bagged the crown among 66 contestants following a tough competition. The Philippines last won the Miss Universe crown in 2018 with Catriona Gray when the pageant was held in Bangkok, Thailand. This year, with another strong representation expected from the country, especially since it's being held in the same host location, the possibility of clinching the fifth crown seems quite achievable. Kunda Mwamulima was crowned Miss Universe Zambia 2025 on Saturday, April 20 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre (MICC) in Lusaka. The 29-year-old registered nurse and model will now prepare to represent Zambia at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. No stranger to pageantry, Kunda is a former Miss Earth Zambia titleholder who competed in Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam. She also joined the Top Model of the World competition in Egypt and made the Top 16. Opal Suchata Chuangsri was officially proclaimed Miss World Thailand 2025 in a special press presentation held on Tuesday, April 22 in Bangkok. The 22-year-old political science major at Thammasat University will represent Thailand at Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad ( Telangana), India this May. No stranger to pageantry, Opal was previously crowned Miss Universe Thailand and went to Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico where she finished as the third runner-up. "I am deeply honored to be standing here as your new Miss World Thailand. The Miss Czech Republic 2025 national final took place on Saturday, May 3 at the Forum Karlín in Prague. Ten finalists competed the crowns at stake. Linda Górecká clinched the title of Miss World Czech Republic 2025 and is expected to represent her country at the 73rd Miss World. The 21-year-old student from Dětmarovice was crowned by none other than the reigning Miss World and Czech Republic's very own Krystyna Pyszková. Reigning Miss Grand International Rachel Gupta from India was also present to crown the winner of Miss Grand Czech Republic 2025 Markéta Mörwicková.
