Miss Grand International 2020 Welcome Ceremony


Miss Grand International 2020 Welcome Ceremony was held at Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Office on Friday, March 19. The contestants looked stunning in their fabulous evening gowns as they introduce themselves on stage.

Over 60 beauties were officially welcomed by the Deputy Permanent Secretary for BMA, Wullaya Wattanarat, MGI executives, and the longest-reigning Miss Grand International Valentina Figuera of Venezuela.

President and founder of Miss Grand International, Nawat Itsaragrisil, said that pushing to hold the pageant in Thailand despite the challenges of the pandemic can help kickstart its tourism industry, and again promote the country as one of the best and safest travel destinations in the world.

The standouts in the event were from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia, Spain, Thailand, United States, and Vietnam.

Miss World Italy 2026 is Mia Zottoli Montanaro from Puglia

Mia Zottoli Montanaro was proclaimed the winner of Miss Mondo Italia 2026 (Miss World Italy) last Sunday, June 14 at the Ecoresort Le Sirenè in Gallipoli. The 21-year-old model and former volleyball player of Argentine descent from Taranto, Puglia was crowned by her predecessor Sofia Viola. Basma Zaid of Basilicata and Azzura Sandrini of Lombardia were announced the first and second runners-up, respectively. Caterina Noghera of Veneto, Lara Boemio of Toscana, and Ginevra Pagano of Campania rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Sayuki Ito was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2026 on Tuesday, June 23 at the Shibuya City Cultural Center in Tokyo. The 26-year-old beauty from Fukuoka Prefecture will represent Japan at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Jasmyn Mimi Johnson and Erika Watanabe were named the first and second runners-up, respectivel, while Seiyu Hata and Mone Gibo completed the Top 5 finalists. The Miss Bolivia 2025 final competition was held on Saturday, June 28 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. A total 28 contestants competed for the national titles that were at stake. Vanessa Pulgarin from Colombia was proclaimed the winner MGI All Stars 2026 on Saturday, May 30 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 34-year-old model bested over 50 other contestants to win the first edition of the pageant. She is expected to return for the second edition to defend her title. Binibining Pilipinas 2026, the 62nd Binibining Pilipinas pageant, was held on Saturday, July 18 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Gwendoline Soriano of Baguio City was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2026 and will represent the Philippines at Miss International 2027 in Japan. Crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2026 was Sasha Lacuna of Tarlac Province. She will go to Albania for The Miss Globe 2026 pageant later this year. Susana Medina from Las Palmas beat 16 other contestants to win Miss Universe Spain 2026 on Saturday, July 18 in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. The 27-year-old model and actress will represent Spain at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. "Today starts a new phase filled with dreams, challenges and great opportunities. Following rounds of online screenings, the Miss Ukraine Committee has officially announced the 25 contestants for the Miss Ukraine 2023 pageant. This year's event will be held in an online format where every Ukrainian will for the first time be able to participate as a jury by voting on the Miss Ukraine official website . According to the organizers, proceeds from the competition will be used to help and support those affected by the ongoing armed conflict in the country. Kamilla Kiss, 25, was crowned Miss Universe Hungary 2026 on Friday, June 19 at Kálmán Imre Theater in Budapest. She beat 11 other contestants to win the national competition and will now prepare to represent Hungary at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Lilien Sarka and Kinga Óvári were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Universe Hungary succeeds last year's winner Kincső Dezsényi. Jennifer Barreto of San Sebastián triumphed over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026 on Thursday, June 25 in Caguas. The 27-year-old psychologist will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in the Caribbean island this November. Génesis Dávila of Arroyo was named first runner-up while Vivianie Díaz-Arroyo of Aguas Buenas, Nicole Marie Colón of Aibonito, and Chelsey García of Añasco were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
