Miss Polski 2019 Magdalena Kasiborska will no longer compete in Miss Universe this May

Magdalena Kasiborska, who was crowned Miss Polski 2019, will no longer compete in the Miss Universe pageant this May due to health reasons.

Miss Polski organization made the announcement today on social media and said, "We are sorry, especially because we know how much time and energy Magda has put into preparing to participate in the competition."

Magdalena also shared, "My health condition has been questioned and I have to follow the advice of specialists who will try to ensure that I can implement the actions I have undertaken in the future."

"Thank you all for your understanding and words of encouragement, especially to the organizers of Miss Polska's elections and those who engaged in my participation in Miss Universe elections at every stage of preparation," she added.

The national pageant has yet to announce who will replace Magdalena in representing Poland at the 69th Miss Universe pageant in Florida, USA this May 16.

Miss Universe Australia 2026 is Caity Worthington from Brisbane

Caitlin Worthington was declared the winner of Miss Universe Australia 2026 at the national final on Wednesday, August 26, held at the Crown Melbourne. The 28-year-old radiographer and model from Brisbane succeeds her predecessor Lexie Brant. She will represent Australia at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Georgia Van Zaanen was awarded first runner-up, while Rowan Brent-White, Uma Dawson, and Kristabella Leembruggen took the second, third, and fourth runner-up positions, respectively. Joheirry Mola Dominguez from the Dominican Republic bested 110 other contestants to win Miss World 2026 on Saturday, September in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The 24-year-old model, teacher, news correspondent and advocate received the coveted crown and sash from her predecessor Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand. Miss World 2026: Meet the continental winners of the Head-to-Head Challenge

The Head-to-Head Challenge for Miss World 2026 took place on August 22 and 24 at the Khanh Hoa Children's Palace in Nha Trang, Vietnam. During the event, all contestants presented themselves and shared speeches about their initiatives. From each continental group, five contestants were selected to move on to the second round, where four continental winners were determined. The continental winners were Romanda Hombir from South Africa, Georgia-Lee Gill from Trinidad and Tobago, Asia Rose Simpson from the Philippines, and Julia Kühnle from Germany. By winning their respective continental groups, they have already earned their spots in the Top 40.
