Miss Grand International 2020 Abena Appiah travels to US, Ecuador, and Mexico

The reigning Miss Grand International Abena Appiah has kicked off her first international tour since winning her title. She is scheduled to visit the US, Ecuador, and Mexico.

Now based in Thailand for her reign, Abena left the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok on Saturday, May 29 for her first destination, the USA.

Part of her month-long itinerary is to attend as a special guest at the Miss Mexico 2021 pageant in Chihuahua this July.

The singer and model of Ghanian descent became the first black woman and the first US representative to win the Miss Grand International pageant last March.

Miguel Alejandro Ortega Alaniz, representing Spain, was proclaimed the winner of Mister Global 2025 on Sunday, October 5 at MCC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 26-year-old personal trainer and sports enthusiast from Valencia bested 35 other contestants to win the male beauty title. He succeeds Daumier Corilla from the Philippines. William Badell of Venezuela and Alejandro Silva of Mexico were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Viktoria Güllová was announced the winner of Miss Universe Slovakia 2025 during the reality show's final and coronation that aired on Tuesday, October 7. The 20-year-old student and model from Bratislava will represent Slovakia at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November.
