Chile's Daniela Nicolás heads to US for the 69th Miss Universe competition

Miss Universe Chile 2020 Daniela Nicolás has left for the US to take part in the upcoming 69th Miss Universe competition.

The 28-year-old journalist and actress wore an outfit by Ángel Ovidio during her departure at the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago.

Daniela will compete with over 70 other beauties to win her country's second Miss Universe title at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on May 16 at 8 p.m. ET.

Chile first won the Miss Universe pageant in 1987 with Cecilia Bolocco. Its last placement was in the Top 15 in 2004 courtesy of Gabriela Barros.

Polish-American Emily Reng to represent Poland at Miss Universe 2025

Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. The 20-year-old will now prepare to represent Poland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Emily is a graduate of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois and is currently a student at the University of South Carolina. The new Miss Universe Poland is no stranger to pageantry. Prior to competing at Miss Polonia 2024 where she finished second runner-up, she won the title of Miss Polish America 2024 in Chicago. Michaela Tomanová was crowned Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 (Miss Universe Czechia) on Wednesday, June 25 at Chateau de Frontiere in Hlohovec. The 27-year-old mother, model and scientist from Prague will represent the Czech Republic at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Former Miss Queen of Portugal Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2025 last Saturday, June 14 in the beautiful and historic city of Elvas. The 26-year-old from São Sebastião, Setúbal made history as the first married woman and mother to become Miss Universe Portugal. Laura Malaquias, Diliana Fernandes, and Ivone Carneiro were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. The 74th Miss Universe pageant has officially commenced in Bangkok, Thailand, as over 120 beauties from across the world gather to vie for the most coveted crown. Clad in their arrival ensembles, the contestants were escorted to the Chatrium Hotel & Residence Riverside Bangkok, one of the official accommodations for this year's event.
