70th Miss Universe contestants tour Jerusalem old city in Israel


Despite imposing travel restrictions due to the Omicron coronavirus variant, Israel's hosting of the 70th Miss Universe pageant is pushing through.

The contestants were taken to a tour of Jerusalem's old city on Tuesday, November 30 in their sneakers, pantsuits, and cocktail dresses. They visited some notable landmarks in the city such as the Tower of David Museum and Jerusalem Botanical Gardens.

Their final itinerary of the day was a tea party at King David Hotel where they met with important persons such as Mayor Moshe Lion, local female politicians, and heads of organizations that fight poverty and violence against women.

Over 70 beauties are expected to continue their journey to the Miss Universe crown in Eilat next week where they will go through a series of pre-pageant activities and preliminary competitions prior to the final on December 12.

Miss Greater Bridgeport, Shavana Clarke was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at Marriott Hartford Windsor Airport in Windsor, Connecticut. The 29-year-old model and mental health advocate will now prepare to represent the state of Connecticut at Miss USA 2024 in California this August. Miss Oklahoma USA 2024 is Danika Christopherson

Danika Christopherson, representing The Village, was crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at OCCC Performing Arts Center Theater in Oklahoma City Community College. The 23-year-old former Miss Oklahoma Teen USA succeeds last year's winner Liv Walbeck. She will now prepare for the Miss USA 2024 competition to be held in California this summer. Miss Universe Greece 2024 is Christianna Katsieri

Christianna Katsieri has been officially announced as Miss Universe Greece 2024 by the Star & Mr GS Hellas organization. The 22-year-old model has previously held the title Miss GS Hellas 2022 and became Miss Earth Greece 2023. She went on to represent Greece at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam last December. Her predecessor Marielia Zaloumi was last year's Star GS Hellas and Miss Universe Greece, who went to Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November. Miss Universe Netherlands 2024: Meet the Top 16 finalists

From 60 beauties who participated during the casting day, only 16 will now move on as finalists for Miss Universe Netherlands 2024. The selection event and official announcement of the Top 16 finalists took place on Saturday, April 13 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. Previously held by Monica van Ee of the Miss Nederland organization, the license for Miss Universe Netherlands has been taken over this year by Milou Verhoeks of the Miss Beauty of the Netherlands. Last year's winner under Miss Nederland was Rikkie Valerie KollƩ , the first-ever transgender woman to represent the Netherlands at the Miss Universe pageant. Madeline Bohlman, representing Northwest Arkansas, was crowned Miss Arkansas USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at OCCC Performing Arts Center Theater, Oklahoma City Community College. The 22-year-old marketing student at the University of Arkansas will head to California for Miss USA 2024 this August. She succeeds last year's winner and Miss USA 2023 Top 20, Mackenzie Hinderberger. No stranger to pageantry, Madeline is a former Miss Arkansas Teen USA winner. The 25-year-old personal trainer and makeup artist from Arona, Tenerife succeeds last year's winner Lola Wilson. R'Bonney Gabriel to host Miss Universe Philippines 2024 final show

The Miss Universe Philippines organization has officially announced former Miss Universe of the USA, R'Bonney Gabriel as host of the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night. To recall, R'Bonney was crowned Miss Universe 2022 during the the 71st Miss Universe pageant held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans in January 2023. The Filipino-American fashion designer became the second Asian-American woman to win the Miss Universe title since Brook Lee (Miss Universe 1997) and so far, the oldest winner at 28 years old, succeeding Andrea Meza of Mexico.
