FAVORITES: 70th Miss Universe Top 5 in preliminary swimsuit competition

The preliminary swimsuit competition of the 70th Miss Universe pageant took place on Friday, December 10 at the Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel.

Eighty of the world's most beautiful women paraded on stage wearing their swimsuits in front of the distinguished all-female panel of judges.

Miss Universe 2022 will be the 71st edition of the prestigious Miss Universe pageant and there are so far four confirmed delegates who will be vying for the coveted title currently held by India's Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu. Here are the delegates from the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Kazakhstan, and Venezuela: Andreína Martinez, 24, of the Dominican Republic holds a degree in psychology and Latin American studies. She won her national title Miss República Dominicana Universo in November last year and was supposed to join the 70th Miss Universe competition in Israel but unfortunately, she tested positive for COVID-19 prior to her departure. Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 is Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau bested 40 other contestants to win Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 on Saturday, June 25 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Le Thao Nhi and Huynh Pham Thuy Tien were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Le Hoang Phuong and Nguyen Thi Huong Ly completed the Top 5 finalists. Reining Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu together with former queens Catriona Gray and Natalie Glebova graced the competition as international judges. Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart and CEO Amy Emmerich were also present to witness the glittering show. The new Miss Universe Vietnam is a 28-year-old model from Tay Ninh. Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 is Elena Rivera of Toa Baja

Toa Baja representative Elena Rivera was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2022) during the national competition held on Thursday, June 30 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas. Amanda Pérez Solis of Río Grande and Andrea Carolina Rivera of Lares were the first and second runners-up, respectively. A total of 30 contestants competed for the coveted national title and the right to represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss World pageant. Last year's titleholder Aryam Díaz Rosado crowned her successor at the end of the event. The new Miss World Puerto Rico is an 18-year-old fashion model and marketing student. Parañaque City representative Myron Jude Ordillano was named Mister International Philippines 2022 at the grand ballroom of Okada Manila on Monday, June 27. The 23-year-old model and aspiring actor edged out over 30 other contestants to win his title. He succeeds the 2019 winner Levin Carl Arguelles. Mark Avendaño of Biñan, Laguna, Michael Ver Anton Comaling of Leyte Province, Kitt Cortez of San Juan City, and Andre John Cue of Cagayan de Oro City were the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Deta Kokomani, a 21-year-old pharmacy student from Durres was crowned Miss Universe Albania 2022. She studied piano for about six years, a passion she still practices in her spare time.
