Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin announces engagement to boyfriend Daniel Lopez


Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin has announced her engagement to commercial real estate agent boyfriend Daniel Lopez.

The beauty queen turned lawyer and national director shared the unexpected proposal that took place in Manhattan, New York on her social media account with the caption: "I said yes to the love of my life. Life put us together and now God will keep us together forever."

"I still can’t believe this is happening in my life. I dreamt of this moment all my life and once again I believe that dreams come true," she wrote in another post with a video of the proposal.

"I can’t wait for all that life has prepared for us. Thank you for making me the happiest woman every day, I love you forever my love," she added.

Katherin represented Ecuador at Miss Earth 2016 in the Philippines, at the age of 24. She bested 82 other contestants from around the world to win her country's second Miss Earth crown next to Olga Ɓlava who won in 2011.

During her reign, she has traveled to Angola, Ghana, Reunion Island, Singapore, the United States, the Middle East, Puerto Rico, Chile, and numerous trips around the Philippines while advocating environmental preservation.

Miss Universe Myanmar 2026 is May Grace Parry

Miss Hpa-An, May Grace Parry, was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2026 on Wednesday, June 17 at the Hexagon Complex in Yangon. The 31-year-old Australian-Burmese model and actress edged out over 30 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Myat Yadanar Soe. Han Theint Theint Aung of Taungoo and Kyaw Kyaw Eaindra of Yangon West were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Former Miss Universe Natalie Glebova and Miss Universe 2025 third runner-up Ahtisa Manalo from the Philippines were among the judges. Miss Universe Ireland 2026 is Aideen Howard from Limerick

Aideen Howard beat over 20 other contestants to win Miss Universe Ireland 2026 on Saturday, June 20 at the Bonnington Hotel in Dublin. The 22-year-old model and student from Castletroy, Limerick, was crowned by her predecessor Aadya Srivastava from Galway. She will now prepare to represent Ireland at Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico this November. Leah Sheehan, also from Limerick, and Eileen Coyle from Derry were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Originally from Boston, the new Miss Universe Ireland moved to Limerick at age 12. Antea MrÅ”ić edged out 14 other contestants to win Miss Universe Croatia 2026 on Monday, May 25 at Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. The 24-year-old sports management graduate from Zagreb will now prepare to represent Croatia at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Monika Vojvodić was named first runner-up while Laura Vujica, Magdalena Fofić and Beata Å imat were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Luren MƔrquez was crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) in a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15 at the Teatro Municipal del Callao.
