Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin announces engagement to boyfriend Daniel Lopez


Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin has announced her engagement to commercial real estate agent boyfriend Daniel Lopez.

The beauty queen turned lawyer and national director shared the unexpected proposal that took place in Manhattan, New York on her social media account with the caption: "I said yes to the love of my life. Life put us together and now God will keep us together forever."

"I still can’t believe this is happening in my life. I dreamt of this moment all my life and once again I believe that dreams come true," she wrote in another post with a video of the proposal.

"I can’t wait for all that life has prepared for us. Thank you for making me the happiest woman every day, I love you forever my love," she added.

Katherin represented Ecuador at Miss Earth 2016 in the Philippines, at the age of 24. She bested 82 other contestants from around the world to win her country's second Miss Earth crown next to Olga 脕lava who won in 2011.

During her reign, she has traveled to Angola, Ghana, Reunion Island, Singapore, the United States, the Middle East, Puerto Rico, Chile, and numerous trips around the Philippines while advocating environmental preservation.

Singer-songwriter Sigga 脫zk crowned Miss Iceland 2026

Sigr铆冒ur 脫sk Hrafnkelsd贸ttir, also known as Sigga 脫zk, was crowned Ungfr煤 脥sland 2026 (Miss Iceland 2026) on Wednesday, April 22 at at Gamla B铆贸 in Reykjav铆k. The singer-songwriter from Gar冒ab忙r will now prepare to represent Iceland at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in Puerto Rico this November. Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel visits El Salvador

Fresh from her Paris Fashion Week debut, the reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel of the USA touched down in El Salvador for the first time today. According to the beauty queen, she will be in the Central American country for a week to start filming for the upcoming Miss Universe 2023 competition. "It is my first time here, I'm very excited, I've heard amazing things about El Salvador. I'm looking for some of the best pupusas here in the country and I'm looking forward to just exploring the beauty that this country has to offer," she shared on social media. The 72nd Miss Universe is set to take place in El Salvador on November 18. R'Bonney will crown her successor at the end of the event, just 10 months after she won Miss Universe 2022 in New Orleans. Former Miss Earth USA Bea Millan-Windorski joins Miss Universe Philippines 2026

Filipino-American Bea Millan-Windorski has recently been appointed as the official representative for the province of La Union at Miss Universe Philippines 2026. At just 24 years old, she is well-acquainted with the world of pageantry, having participated in Miss Earth USA 2024 in Orlando, Florida, where she clinched the title while representing Wisconsin. This achievement made her the first Filipino-American to secure the national title. Patthama Jitsawat, representing the Thai province of Chonburi, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2026 on Saturday, March 28 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 32-year-old beauty edged out 76 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner Sarunrat Puagpipat of Phuket. Sadhvi Sail bested 29 other contestants to win the Femina Miss India 2026 pageant last Saturday, April 18 at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar. The 24-year-old beauty from Goa state was crowned by her predecesor Nikita Porwal and will represent India at the 74th Miss World competition next year.
