Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin announces engagement to boyfriend Daniel Lopez


Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin has announced her engagement to commercial real estate agent boyfriend Daniel Lopez.

The beauty queen turned lawyer and national director shared the unexpected proposal that took place in Manhattan, New York on her social media account with the caption: "I said yes to the love of my life. Life put us together and now God will keep us together forever."

"I still can’t believe this is happening in my life. I dreamt of this moment all my life and once again I believe that dreams come true," she wrote in another post with a video of the proposal.

"I can’t wait for all that life has prepared for us. Thank you for making me the happiest woman every day, I love you forever my love," she added.

Katherin represented Ecuador at Miss Earth 2016 in the Philippines, at the age of 24. She bested 82 other contestants from around the world to win her country's second Miss Earth crown next to Olga Álava who won in 2011.

During her reign, she has traveled to Angola, Ghana, Reunion Island, Singapore, the United States, the Middle East, Puerto Rico, Chile, and numerous trips around the Philippines while advocating environmental preservation.

Mr Lebanon 2023 is Seif Al Walid Harb

Seif Al Walid Harb was proclaimed Mr Lebanon 2023 during the broadcast of the national competition on Sunday, October 9 on MTV Lebanon. The 23-year-old fitness trainer beat 17 other young men from various Lebanese regions to win the title. He succeeds last year's winner Hady Fakhereldine and is now expected to represent his country at the Mr World pageant. Ahmad Arzouni was announced as the first runner-up while Mohammad Abyad, Anwar Shibli, and Fares Nasereldine finished as second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Completing the Top 6 and awarded Mr Personality was Jeremy Melkonian, an inspirational competitor who lost a leg in a traffic accident a few years ago. Mostafa Dabbous was named Mr Photogenic. Mister International 2023 is Kim Goodburn of Thailand

Kim Thitisan Goodburn bested 35 other competitors to win Mister International 2023 on Sunday, September 17 at the Crystal Design Center Ballroom (CDC) in Bangkok, Thailand. The 24-year-old Thai-British model and actor from Thailand also bagged the Best in National Costume award. He succeeds last year's winner Manu Franco from the Dominican Republic. William Badell of Venezuela and Edward Taiye Ogunniya of Brazil were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Lucas Schlachter of France and Shashwat Dwivedi of India rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Following rounds of auditions across Zimbabwe, the Top 25 contestants vying for Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 have been officially announced. Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 is Brooke Bruk-Jackson

Brooke Bruk-Jackson edged out 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 on Saturday, September 16 at Harare Hippodrome. The 21-year-old model will now prepare to represent Zimbabwe at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this December. It will be her country's first participation in over two decades. Amanda Mpofu and Nokutenda Marumbwa were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "My heart is full of joy and gratitude. From the Top 20 semifinalists, only 10 beauties have been announced to continue to the final of Miss Suomi 2023 (Miss Universe Finland 2023) next month. The announcement led by Miss Suomi national director Sunneva Sjögren was held on Tuesday, August 15 at Valo Hotel in Helsinki. Miss Universe Switzerland 2023 is Lorena Santen

Lorena Santen was crowned Miss Universe Switzerland 2023 in a national competition on Saturday, September 23 at the Hilton Hotel in Geneva. The 26-year-old economics graduate from Aargau beat 14 other competitors to win the title. She succeeds last year's winner Alia Guindi and will soon represent her country at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador.
