Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin announces engagement to boyfriend Daniel Lopez


Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin has announced her engagement to commercial real estate agent boyfriend Daniel Lopez.

The beauty queen turned lawyer and national director shared the unexpected proposal that took place in Manhattan, New York on her social media account with the caption: "I said yes to the love of my life. Life put us together and now God will keep us together forever."

"I still can’t believe this is happening in my life. I dreamt of this moment all my life and once again I believe that dreams come true," she wrote in another post with a video of the proposal.

"I can’t wait for all that life has prepared for us. Thank you for making me the happiest woman every day, I love you forever my love," she added.

Katherin represented Ecuador at Miss Earth 2016 in the Philippines, at the age of 24. She bested 82 other contestants from around the world to win her country's second Miss Earth crown next to Olga Ɓlava who won in 2011.

During her reign, she has traveled to Angola, Ghana, Reunion Island, Singapore, the United States, the Middle East, Puerto Rico, Chile, and numerous trips around the Philippines while advocating environmental preservation.

Vanessa Pulgarin from Colombia was proclaimed the winner MGI All Stars 2026 on Saturday, May 30 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 34-year-old model bested over 50 other contestants to win the first edition of the pageant. She is expected to return for the second edition to defend her title. Czech Republic's Isabella Rossini wins Miss Aura International 2026

Isabella Rossini, 20, from Czech Republic, was crowned Miss Aura International 2026 at the conclusion of the pageant on Friday, May 22 at FashionTV Luxe Resort in Antalya, Turkey. The professional model, singer and theater actress bested over 40 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeds Krishan Pauline Alerre of the Philippines. Miss Centre, Amira Afli, was crowned Miss Tunisia 2023 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, February 11 at Le Pavillon Gammarth in La Marsa. The 71st Miss Universe contestants have been very busy with their pre-pageant events and activities ahead of the preliminary, national costume, and final competitions. Brennan's, a famous New Orleans restaurant located in the heart of the French Quarter, hosted the contestants a special dinner where they enjoyed delicious and authentic Creole cuisine. In addition to touring, filming, and rehearsing for the big show, a welcome press conference was held for the 84 contestants on Monday, January 9 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center.
