Ecuador wins Reina Internacional del Cacao 2022, Philippines bags Reina Internacional del Chocolate title


Ecuador's Laura Aguilera, a 20-year-old tourism student from Quito was crowned Reina Internacional del Cacao 2022 on Wednesday, March 30 at Teatro Pacific in Panama City.

Another winner was Jerelleen Rodriguez from the Philippines who clinched the Reina Internacional del Chocolate 2022 title. The 29-year-old future lawyer also became the first Asian to win the international pageant.

Kauane Nava of Brazil, Gennesis Padron of the United States, and Jaqui Gomez of Mexico were the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively.

Nineteen countries participated during the 3rd edition of the competition that aims to promote the chocolate industry.
