Miss Universe Malta 2022 is Maxine Formosa Gruppetta


Maxine Formosa Gruppetta was officially announced as the newly appointed Miss Universe Malta 2022 in a special press conference and crowning ceremony held at InterContinental Malta in St. George's Bay, St. Julian's on Sunday, April 10.

The 21-year-old legal assistant from St. Julian's was second runner-up during last year's Miss Universe Malta competition. She succeeds Jade Cini and will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant (Miss Universe 2022) later this year.

"I am so grateful to the [Miss Universe Malta] organization for giving me this wonderful opportunity to represent my country at [Miss Universe]. I promise to make Malta proud," she shared on social media after her coronation.

Miss CosmoWorld 2022 is Meiji Cruz of the Philippines

Meiji Aculana Cruz of the Philippines beat over 20 other contestants to be crowned Miss CosmoWorld 2022 on Wednesday, November 30 at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Uzbekistan's Amaliya Shakirova and Thailand's Onnapun Na Chiangmai were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Zara Amalina of Indonesia and Cecilia Kongwa of Zambia rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss CosmoWorld is a 28-year-old TV host and brand ambassador. No stranger to pageantry, she represented the city of Valenzuela at Binibining Pilipinas 2021 where she finished as second runner-up. Miss Earth 2022, the 22nd edition of the Miss Earth pageant culminates tonight at Okada Manila in the Philippines. This year's event marks the return of its live competition following two virtual editions in 2020 and 2021. Over the last two weeks, 80 eco-warriors from all over the Earth participated in preliminary events and activities, and toured various tourism destinations of the Asian tropical paradise, making memories of a lifetime. Mutya ng Pilipinas 2022 Top 40 contestants officially revealed

The Top 40 contestants vying for the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2022 (Jewel of the Philippines) pageant have been officially presented to the press on Wednesday, November 23 at the Citadines Bay City Manila. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the national competition was not held in 2020 and 2021. The winner of the upcoming 52nd edition is expected to represent the Philippines at Miss Asia Pacific International 2023 on a date and venue yet to be announced. Klyza Castro, the titleholder from 2019 and the longest reigning Mutya ng Pilipinas, will crown her successor on Sunday, December 4 at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City. Miss Earth 2022 is Mina Sue Choi, first winner from Korea

Mina Sue Choi of Korea bested over 80 other competitors to win Miss Earth 2022 in a glittering competition held on Tuesday, November 29 at Cove Manila, Okada Manila in the Philippines. The 23-year-old communication student succeeded Destiny Wagner of Belize and became her country's first-ever Miss Earth winner. She also bagged three gold medals for the swimsuit, beach wear, and long gown competition, and one bronze for resort wear. Australia's Sheridan Mortlock, Palestine's Nadeen Ayoub, and Colombia's Andrea Aguilera finished in the Top 4 and were awarded the elemental titles Miss Earth - Air, Water, and Fire, respectively. Mister Grand International 2022 is Michael Pelletier of Switzerland

Michael Pelletier, representing Switzerland, was proclaimed Mister Grand International 2022 on Friday, November 25 at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago. The 28-year-old fashion model from Perly, Geneva, succeeded last year's winner from Puerto Rico, Fernando Ezequiel Padin. He became the first representative from his country to win the international title. Lee Seung-hyun, a 23-year-old economics student at Korea University was crowned Miss Korea 2022 in a glittering final held on Wednesday, October 26 at the Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Yoo Si-eun, 25, a student of aviation services, and Kim Go-eun, 22, a student of aviation and aeronautical engineering, were in second and third places, respectively. Out of 54 regional winners, only 30 finalists were selected to take part in the 66th edition of the national pageant. This year's winners are expected to represent Korea at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam and Miss International 2023 in Japan.
