Miss Supranational 2021 Chanique Rabe travels to Ecuador


Miss Supranational 2021 Chanique Rabe arrived in Guayaquil, Ecuador earlier this week as a special guest in the upcoming CNB Ecuador 2022 (Concurso Nacional de Belleza) pageant.

The Namibian beauty was also part of the panel of judges who are tasked to choose the next Ecuadorian representative at Miss Supranational 2022 in Poland this July.

"Yesterday was interview day here at [CNB Ecuador] and it was absolutely lovely to get to know the ladies," Chanique shared on her social media account.

"I can’t believe the final show is tonight. Thank you [CNB Ecuador] and [Miss Supranational Ecuador] for having me on your panel of judges. I can see the amount of effort and passion being put into this competition and I’m super excited for tonight," she added.

The reigning Miss Supranational also had the honor of meeting the vice mayor of Guayaquil, Josué Sánchez, who gave her team a tour of the historic city hall and presented them with gifts to help them get to know more of Ecuador's second-largest city. She considers her first trip to South America "an incredible experience."

Chanique will crown her successor at the culmination of the Miss Supranational 2022 pageant in Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland this July.

Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. The Miss America 2025 final competition will be held this Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. Abbie Stockard from Vestavia Hills, Alabama was crowned Miss America 2025 on Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Milla Magee was crowned Miss England 2024 (Miss World England) on Friday, May 17 at The Grand Station in Wolverhampton. The 23-year-old qualified beach lifeguard from Newquay, Cornwall bested 39 other contestants to win the national title. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
