Miss Lebanon 2022 is Yasmina Zaytoun


A 20-year-old journalism student from Kfarchouba, Yasmina Zaytoun, won Miss Lebanon 2022 in Beirut on Sunday, July 24.

A total of 17 contestants participated in the national competition which was held after a 4-year hiatus.

Maya Reaidy who won in 2018 and went on to compete during the 67th Miss Universe edition in Bangkok, crowned her successor at the end of the event.

The runners-up were Maya Aboul Hosn (first runner-up), Jacintha Rached (second runner-up), Lara Hraoui (third runner-up), and Dalal Hoballah (fourth runner-up).

Former Miss USA Rima Fakih, who is now the national director of Miss Universe Lebanon, announced that the winner will be sent to the next edition of Miss Universe and Miss World.

If the dates of both international pageants coincide, the winner will solely represent Lebanon in the next Miss World, while the first runner-up will be sent to Miss Universe 2022.

Miss Namibia 2022 is Cassia Sharpley

Cassia Sharpley, 21, from Windhoek, bested 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Namibia 2022 on Friday, August 12 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino. Leoné Van Jaarsveld, 26, from Swakopmund was named first runner-up while Diana Andimba, 23, from Windhoek finished as second runner-up. The new Miss Namibia is a basic life support paramedic and student at Namibia University of Science and Technology pursuing a degree in emergency medical care (advanced life support). As a poverty eradication activist, Cassia founded the Honey Comb Haven Foundation to help the less fortunate members of her community. Last year's winner, Chelsi Shikongo, relinquished her crown to her successor at the end of the competition. Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 is Miss Fajardo, Ashley Ann Cariño

Miss Fajardo, Ashley Ann Cariño, was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 in a glittering competition that took place on Thursday, August 11 at the Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré, also known as Bellas Artes de Santurce in San Juan. The 27-year-old beauty succeeds last year's winner Michelle Colón of Loíza and will represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss Universe pageant (Miss Universe 2022) later this year. Leonela González De Jesús of Dorado and Camille Fabery Diana of Cataño were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The representatives of Aguadilla,  Graciela Berrios and Toa Alta, Valeria Pagán Masini, completed the Top 5 finalists. Miss Universe pageant to allow mothers and married women to compete

During the 48th Miss Universe pageant held in Trinidad and Tobago, the final question was "If Miss Universe were to become pregnant during her reign, should she be allowed to continue as Miss Universe?” Botswana's Mpule Kwelagobe answered: "Personally, I think Miss Universe is a symbol of a woman as well as she's celebrating her femininity, and I believe that if she should fall pregnant it will not in any way interrupt her duties. I believe as a woman she should celebrate her femininity." The Miss Namibia 2022 national competition is scheduled to take place at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino on Friday, August 12. A total of 12 finalists are vying for the national title currently held by Chelsi Shikongo, who represented Namibia during the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel last December. Tiffany Conolly was crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, August 6 at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. The 24-year-old beauty from West Bay triumphed over seven other contestants to win the national title. Chloe Powery-Doxey and Hayley Grizzel were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Swelia Da Silva Antonio was crowned Miss Universo Angola 2022 (Miss Universe Angola 2022) on Saturday, August 6 at Pérola dos Navegantes in Benguela. The 24-year-old social scientist, from the Netherlands, bested 23 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds Miss Angola 2019 Salett Natalia Martins Miguel and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022. Yasser Coimbra of Bié and Nelma Tchissola of Cuanza Norte were respectively the first and second runners-up while Diana Mingas of Moxico and Mafalda Guilherme of Zaire completed the Top 5 finalists. Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 is Sabrina Deraneck

Sabrina Deraneck was proclaimed Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 on Saturday, August 13 at Teatro Municipal de Caracas (Municipal Theater of Caracas). The 23-year-old teacher by profession from the state of Mérida will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. Alia Abized, 19, of Nueva Esparta, and Valentina Martinez, 22, of Anzoátegui were named Miss Elite Venezuela and Miss Grand Venezuela 2023, respectively. They are expected to compete in next year's Miss Elite World and Miss Grand International editions. A total of 22 beauties participated during the first edition of Miss Grand Venezuela.
