Miss World Denmark 2023 is Johanne Grundt Hansen

Miss Denmark 2021 Johanne Grundt Hansen has been officially appointed as Miss World Denmark 2023 and will represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant. The 21-year-old is a sales assistant and part-time model from Fensmark. She holds a black belt in karate, a big passion she practiced for over 12 years. According to Miss Denmark Organization, Johanne is an ambassador for Plastic Change, a Danish NGO that aims to raise awareness about the growing plastic pollution in the oceans and the water environment. The new Miss World Denmark is no stranger to international pageantry. After winning Miss Denmark 2021, she was appointed as Miss Supranational Denmark and went to the Miss Supranational 2022 pageant in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Miss Mundo Dominicana 2023 is María Victoria Bayo Martínez

María Victoria Bayo Martínez was crowned Miss Mundo Dominicana 2023 (Miss World Dominican Republic 2023) on Saturday, April 15 at Gran Teatro del Cibao in Santiago de los Caballeros. The 23-year-old model and athlete from Santiago holds a degree in business administration and international business from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. "I want to thank God, my family, and especially the Miss Mundo Dominicana organization for putting all their trust in me," she wrote in a statement on social media. "Since my childhood, I have represented Cibao in sports and academic events at the national level and with great pride. Now the commitment gets bigger and it is to represent globally the values, riches, beauty, culture, and joy of our people," she added. Miss World Montenegro 2023 is Andjela Vukadinovic

Andjela Vukadinovic (Anđela Vukadinović) was crowned Miss Crne Gore 2023 (Miss Montenegro / Miss World Montenegro) in a national pageant held last March 11 at the Regent Porto Montenegro. The 22-year-old model and economics student from Tivat bested 11 other finalists to win her title. She also bagged two special awards — Miss Photogenic and Face of the Regent Hotel. Katarina Lukovac and Maša Žugić were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Anastasija Dragović and Monika Radović rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Out of hundreds of applications, a total of only 12 contestants were selected to take part in this year's final competition. Miss Uganda 2023 is Hannah Karema Tumukunde

Hannah Karema Tumukunde has been crowned Miss Uganda 2023/2024 in a glittering show held on Saturday, March 18 at UMA Multipurpose Hall in Kampala, Uganda. The 20-year-old model from Nakaseke bested 20 other competitors to win her national title. She succeeded Elizabeth Bagaya and will prepare to represent Uganda at the 71st Miss World in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a date yet to be announced. Whitney Martha Ademum and Premah Prossy Agwang were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Jesca Sserwadda and Jerusha Muwanguzi were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. Hosted by Mitch Egwang and Anita Fabiola, this year's final event marked the return of the Miss Uganda pageant following a three-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Miss Thailand 2023 is Chonnikarn Supittayaporn of Chiang Mai

Miss Chiang Mai, Chonnikarn Supittayaporn, was crowned Miss Thailand 2023 on Sunday, March 19 at the Central Chaengwattana in Nonthaburi, Bangkok. The 24-year-old model and pharmacy graduate of Chiang Mai University succeeded last year's winner Manita Farmer and will now prepare to represent Thailand at the 71st Miss World (Miss World 2023) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Sakhon Nakhon's Marisa Phonthirat was named the first runner-up while Phatthalung's Arabella Sitanan Gregory finished as the second runner-up. Kanokporn Payungwong of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Supansa Wattananusit of Amnat Charoen were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. A total of 47 stunning contestants from various Thai provinces were selected to take part in the 54th Miss Thailand edition. Ashley Carrington edged out five other contestants to win Miss World Barbados 2023 on Saturday, March 11 at The Walled Garden Theatre, Barbados Museum & Historical Society in Bridgetown. The 23-year-old animal lover, model, and management student at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, will now prepare to represent Barbados at the 71st Miss World edition in the UAE. She succeeded Miss World Barbados 2019 Che Amor Greenidge who participated in the Miss World 2019 pageant held in London, United Kingdom. Rhenea Gaskin, Chloe Millar, Katiana Worrell, Cya Layne, and Junia Harris were the rest of the six finalists. Miss Ukraine 2023 winner will be chosen through online voting

For the first time in history, the next Miss Ukraine who will represent her country at Miss World 2023 will be chosen only through online voting. The announcement was made in Kyiv by the chairperson of the Miss Ukraine Committee, Veronika Shchiptsova, who also mentioned the importance of running the competition despite the military aggression in the country. According to Veronika, it will be an opportunity for the next Ukrainian representative on the prestigious global stage to draw attention to the ongoing conflict. The casting was done in person and online as some aspirants were forced to travel abroad. A total of 15 selected finalists, yet to be announced, will be vying for the national title. United Arab Emirates to host the 71st Miss World pageant

Chairman of Miss World Limited, Julia Morley CBE, officially announced on Monday, February 13 the United Arab Emirates as the official host country of the 71st Miss World pageant. The United Arab Emirates, or simply the Emirates, is a country in Western Asia. It is an elective monarchy formed from a federation of seven emirates, consisting of Abu Dhabi (the capital), Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm Al Quwain. Dubai, its major port and largest city is situated within the Arabian Desert on the coast of the Persian Gulf. It is known for its tallest human-made structure, the Burj Khalifa, and the Burj Al Arab, one of the tallest hotel buildings in the world. Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska from Poland is expected to crown her successor later this year but further details including the exact venue and final date for Miss World 2023 are yet to be announced by the Miss World Organization. Miss Thailand Organization has just announced that the next Miss Thailand winner will be sent to Miss World 2023 The exciting news was revealed by organizers, the TPN Global, during the press conference for Miss Thailand 2023 on Monday, February 6 at the Paragon Cineplex in Bangkok. This year's competition is themed the "Ultimate Precious" and around 77 contestants each representing provinces of the country are expected to take part. The 54th Miss Thailand edition will be held this March and pre-pageant activities will be hosted in the southern province of Phatthalung. At the end of the event, last year's winner Manita Farmer will crown her successor who will take home 1 million baht in cash and many other prizes. Miss World Kenya 2022 is Chantou Kwamboka

Chantou Kwamboka was crowned Miss World Kenya 2022 in a glittering gala held on Saturday, December 10 at the Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi. The 24-year-old model, catwalk coach and actor succeeded last year's titleholder Sharon Obara and will now prepare to represent Kenya at the 71st Miss World pageant. "Last night was one for the books. I still haven't soaked it in all yet. I'm happy, blessed, grateful, and highly favored. I smile, cry, and laugh all at the same time. This is truly a dream come true. I am completely grateful for how this journey has unfolded," she shared on social media. Miss World Bulgaria 2022 is Kristiyana Yordanova

Kristiyana Yordanova was crowned Miss World Bulgaria 2022 in a competition held last Wednesday, December 7 at the Princess Casino Sofia Ramada Hotel & Spa in Sofia. The 24-year-old author and psychology and neuroscience student at the University of British Columbia will represent Bulgaria at the 71st Miss World pageant. Prior to winning her national title, she participated in the Miss World Canada 2022 pageant on November 13 and placed in the Top 15. In a post on social media, she shared how honored she feels to receive the crown and be able to represent her home country. "I was deeply affected as a child when I had to move away from everything I had ever known. I missed my roots deeply, and so being able to connect with my culture yet again so seamlessly was so beautiful and genuine," she wrote.
