Miss Namibia 2022: Get to know the Top 12 finalists


The Miss Namibia 2022 national competition is scheduled to take place at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino on Friday, August 12.

A total of 12 finalists are vying for the national title currently held by Chelsi Shikongo, who represented Namibia during the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel last December.

The Miss Namibia organization currently holds the right to send Namibian representatives to Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Teen International competitions.

Last year's first runner-up Annerie Maré was named Miss World Nambia 2021 and went on to compete during 70th Miss World in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Aina Kweyo - a 26-year-old news anchor from Oniipa

Ashleigh Kleintjes - a 24-year-old candidate legal practitioner from Windhoek

Cassia Sharpley - 21, from Windhoek. She is a basic life support paramedic and student at Namibia University of Science and Technology pursuing a degree in emergency medical care

Diana Andimba - a 23-year-old architect in training from Windhoek

Elizabeth Namoloh - a 23-year-old student from Windhoek

Leoné Van Jaarsveld - a 26-year-old from Swakopmund. She works as a human resources managing assistant at Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre

Lilly Shihepo - a 26-year-old Diamond Mapper from Onamutanda Village

Michelle Mukuve - a 22-year-old student from Rundu

Nongee Faye Kandjii - a 26-year-old candidate attorney from Tsumeb

Uetuesa Zaire - a 22-year-old student and entrepreneur from Windhoek

Zawady Tjijombo - a 21-year-old student from Opuwo

Zhahida Tanigu Tjizera - a 25-year-old private secretary from Witvlei in the Omaheke Region. She holds a degree in quantity surveying and commercial management

Miss Universe Peru 2025 is Karla Bacigalupo

Karla Bacigalupo was crowned Miss Peru 2025 (Miss Universe Peru 2025) in a national competition held last Sunday, June 15 in the historic city of Cusco. The 33-year-old actress and producer will now prepare to represent Peru at Miss Universe 2025 to be held in Thailand this November. Former Reina Hispanoamerican Maricielo Gamarra was announced as first runner-up while former Top Model of the World Janet Leyva finished as the second runner-up. Last year's winner Tatiana Calmell crowned her successor at the end of the event. She placed in the Top 12 at Miss Universe 2024 and was awarded the continental title of Miss Universe Americas. Miss Universe Portugal 2025 is Camila Vitorino

Former Miss Queen of Portugal Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2025 last Saturday, June 14 in the beautiful and historic city of Elvas. The 26-year-old from São Sebastião, Setúbal made history as the first married woman and mother to become Miss Universe Portugal. Laura Malaquias, Diliana Fernandes, and Ivone Carneiro were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner Andreia Correia passed on her crown to her successor at the end of the event. "It is with great honor that I carry this sash on my chest representing all women, all mothers and the Portuguese people. Michaela Tomanová was crowned Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 (Miss Universe Czechia) on Wednesday, June 25 at Chateau de Frontiere in Hlohovec. The 27-year-old mother, model and scientist from Prague will represent the Czech Republic at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Completing the Top 4 finalists were Eva Brožková, Petra Šafránková, and Sarah Duong Vu Thi Thuy. Eduarda Braum was crowned Miss Supranational Brazil 2025 on Friday, April 4 at Hotel Sibara in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina. The 25-year-old model and influencer, representing Espírito Santo, will represent Brazil at Miss Supranational 2025 in Poland this June. Maria Gasparotto of Guanabara and Cassia Adriane of Pará were announced the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 is Abbigail Sturgin

Lao-Kiwi Abbigail Sturgin was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 on Tuesday, June 24 at the SkyCity Theatre in Auckland. The 28-year-old police officer succeeds last year's winner Victoria Velasquez Vincent and will represent New Zealand at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Hannah Cross was named first runner-up while Noor Randhawa, Gazelle Garcia, and Deborah Lambie were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Man of the World 2025, the 7th edition of the annual Man of the World competition was held on Saturday, May 31 at the SM North Edsa Skydome in Quezon City, Philippines. Juul Messiaen, a 23-year-old model, athlete and real estate agent from Málaga, Spain bested over 20 other contestants to win the international male pageant. Israel Sierra of Mexico was named first runner-up while Sittichok Panitloedtewa of Thailand, Honza Jiránek of the Czech Republic, and Sworman Delgado of Panama were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Lebanon 2024 first runner-up Sarah Leena Boujaoude has recently been officially appointed as Miss Universe Lebanon 2025. The 20-year-old fashion model and a finance student at the American University of Beirut will represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2025. Maja Todd from Katowice was crowned Miss Polonia 2025 in a glittering national competition held on Sunday, June 22 in Warsaw. The 20-year-old economics student bested 23 other contestants to win the national title. She is expected to represent Poland at the 73rd Miss World competition.
