Miss Universe first runner-up Nadia Ferreira returns to Paraguay to pass on her crown


Nadia Ferreira flew on a private jet with fiancé Marc Anthony from Miami back to her home country on Thursday, August 25 ahead of the coronation of the next Miss Universo Paraguay.

The 23-year-old model, who placed first runner-up in Miss Universe 2021, was welcomed by members of the media during her arrival in an all-white suit.

Nadia will pass her crown on to her successor, who will represent Paraguay at Miss Universe 2022, during the "Noche de Reinas" which is presented by Reinas del Paraguay.

The highly anticipated show will air live from Paseo La Galería, Asunción on Trece (Channel 13) this Friday, August 26 at 10 p.m. local time.

A total of 14 contestants are vying for the coveted national title. In addition to Miss Universo Paraguay, the titles of Miss Mundo Paraguay, Miss Internacional Paraguay, and Miss Tierra Paraguay 2022 are also at stake in the competition.
