Reinas del Paraguay "Noche de Reinas" was held on Friday, August 26 at Paseo La Galería in Asunción where four winners took home the coveted titles. Last year's titleholder Nadia Ferreira crowned her successor Leah Ashmore as Miss Universo Paraguay 2022 at the end of the event. The Miss Universe 2021 first runner-up was accompanied by her fiancé Marc Anthony in the audience during the show. Hosted by Toto González and Luchi García Rubín, the glittering final aired on Trece (channel 13) featured 14 contestants competing in their swimsuits and evening gowns. Former queens Vivian Benítez (Miss Paraguay 1991) and Yanina González (Miss Universo Paraguay 2004, Miss Universe 2004 3rd runner-up, Miss Earth - Fire 2004) were part of the judging panel. Nadia Ferreira flew on a private jet with fiancé Marc Anthony from Miami back to her home country on Thursday, August 25 ahead of the coronation of the next Miss Universo Paraguay. The 23-year-old model, who placed first runner-up in Miss Universe 2021, was welcomed by members of the media during her arrival in an all-white suit. Nadia will pass her crown on to her successor, who will represent Paraguay at Miss Universe 2022, during the "Noche de Reinas" which is presented by Reinas del Paraguay. The highly anticipated show will air live from Paseo La Galería, Asunción on Trece (Channel 13) this Friday, August 26 at 10 p.m. local time. A total of 14 contestants are vying for the coveted national title. The beauty queen from Paraguay and the Grammy Award winner announced their engagement on Thursday, May 12 during a party in Miami. Prior to the diamond engagement ring reveal on social media, they also went on a trip to the Walt Disney World in Orlando during Nadia's 23rd birthday on Tuesday, May 10.
