Miss Universe Jamaica 2022: Get to know the 20 contestants


Miss Universe Jamaica 2022 final competition will take place on Saturday, September 3 at the Grand Ball Room of the AC Hotel by Marriot in Kingston.

Last year's titleholder Daena Soares will crown her successor among 20 beauties at the end of the event.

Jamaica first joined Miss Universe in 1961 but has yet to win the crown. Its highest placement was in 2010 when Yendi Phillips finished as first runner-up.

The next Miss Universe Jamaica will represent the Caribbean island nation at Miss Universe 2022.

Shante Jarrett - Miss Pier 1, 21, from St. James, student, model

Celine Walters - Miss Klean Skin & Spa, 21, from Kingston, a biotechnology student

Zasha-Kae Dennis - Miss Toyota Jamaica, 21, from St. Catherine, online reporter, producer, presenter

Pershenia McGann - Miss Rafting on the Martha Brae, 26, from St. James, office court assistant clerk

Thalia Malcolm - Miss Beauty Mark Limited, 26, from St. Andrew, social media manager

Marisa Dixon - Miss Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records, 22, from Portland, a journalism student at the University of Arizona Global Campus

Zoe Smith - Miss Altitude Lash Therapy, 22, from Kingston, sales agent

Shantana Pitterman - Miss Golf View Hotel, 21, from Clarendon, recently completed a degree in sports massage therapy and fitness instructor at the G.C. Foster College

Titania Mycko - Miss RB Cooling Methods, 19, from St. Catherine, marine biology student at the University of West Indies

Catherine Harris - Miss Curves, 25, from Clarendon, model, graduate of actual science and sports from the University of West Indies

Jillian Taylor - Miss Datum Construction, 27, from Kingston, foreign affairs master's student at Columbia University

Shanique Singh - Miss WiPay Jamaica, 25, from St. Catherine, a medical student

Zara Holmes - Miss Legacy Aesthetics, 22, from St. Andrew, a production coordinator
