Miss Universe Nepal 2022 is Sophiya Bhujel


Sophiya Bhujel was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2022 in a glittering show held Thursday, August 25 at Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu.

The 26-year-old beauty, who holds a degree in business management, bested 19 other finalists to win her national title. She succeeds last year's winner Sujita Basnet and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022, whose date and venue are yet to be announced.

Bipana Adhikari was named first runner-up while Ashma KC finished as second runner-up. Sefina Joshi and Monalisha Parajuli were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

This year's competition was the third edition of the Miss Universe Nepal pageant under the leadership of former titleholder Nagma Shrestha.

The new Miss Universe Nepal is no stranger to pageantry. She joined Miss Nepal 2019, where she placed in the Top 7, and also participated in the Global Asian Model and Miss Eco International pageants.

Nepal debuted at the Miss Universe pageant in 2017 and its highest placement happened the following year when Manita Devkota finished in the Top 10.

Miss USA 2025: Meet the contestants

Miss USA 2025, the much-awaited 74th Miss USA pageant will be held on Friday, October 24 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. This year's competition marks the fourth occasion it will take place in Reno after 2019, 2022, and 2023. Also, this will be the first edition under the leadership of the new Chairman, President, and CEO, Thom Brodeur. The next Miss USA will head to Bangkok, Thailand to represent "the land of opportunity" at the highly anticipated Miss Universe 2025 pageant this November. Miss Universe Switzerland 2025 is Naima Acosta

Naima Acosta was crowned Miss Universe Switzerland 2025 during the national final on Saturday, September 27 at the Kursaal Arena in Bern. The 20-year-old Swiss-Mexican beauty from Ticino will now prepare to represent Switzerland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Lisa Barras from Fribourg and Melina Malonga Matouba from Geneva placed second and third, respectively. The new Miss Universe Switzerland bested 18 other contestants to win the national title. Miss Universe Mexico 2025 is Fatima Bosch of Tabasco

Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. The 24-year-old designer from Teapa, Tabasco triumphed over 30 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Vanessa Pulgarín was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Colombia 2025 in a reality show broadcasted by Canal RCN on Sunday, September 28. The 34-year-old businesswoman, athlete, and model from Medellín, Antioquia will represent Colombia at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. USA's Midori Monet crowned Miss International Queen 2025

Midori Monet of the USA was crowned Miss International Queen 2025 on Saturday, September 20 at the Tiffany's Show Pattaya in Thailand. The 26-year-old stunner from Seattle, Washington bested 22 other beauties from around the world to win the prestigious international beauty title for transgender women. She succeeded last year's winner Catalina Marsano from Peru. Besides winning the highly coveted crown, she was also awarded the Preliminary Best Performance and Best National Costume. Miss Universe 2026 host country and venue officially announced

The Miss Universe Organization has officially confirmed that Puerto Rico will be the host country for the Miss Universe 2026 pageant. Puerto Rican politician Jenniffer González Colón also made an announcement in a conference held on Tuesday, September 23 in San Juan. The 75th Miss Universe edition will be held in November 2026 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, the largest indoor entertainment and sports arena in Puerto Rico. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark was present at the conference alongside former winners from Puerto Rico — Deborah Carthy-Deu (1985), Dayanara Torres (1993), Denise Quiñones (2001), and Zuleyka Rivera (2006). Next year's competition will be the fourth Miss Universe edition to take place in Puerto Rico after 1972 (Dorado), 2001 (Bayamón), and 2002 (San Juan). Sanya Adhikari was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2025 on Wednesday, September 24 at the Royal Tulip in Kathmandu. The 23-year-old beauty edged out 13 other contestants to win the national competition. She also bagged the Miss Smart award. Aarohi Basnet was named first runner-up while Sonalisa Dhungana, Alina Yary, and Jyoti Thapa were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe Laos 2025 is Lattana Munvilay

Lattana Munvilay was crowned Miss Universe Laos 2025 last Sunday, September 21 at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Vientiane. The 31-year-old model and actress from Salavan province succeeds last year's winner Phiranya Thipphomvong. She will represent Laos at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Soudavone Inthavong of Luang Namtha and Lothjana Khounnavong of Houaphanh were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Universe Laos has already joined the national competition twice. She placed second runner-up in 2019 and 2022. Lattana graduated from Vientiane High School and went on to study architecture at the National University of Laos.
