Reinas del Paraguay: Nadia Ferreira crowns Leah Ashmore as Miss Universo Paraguay 2022


Reinas del Paraguay "Noche de Reinas" was held on Friday, August 26 at Paseo La Galería in Asunción where four winners took home the coveted titles.

Last year's titleholder Nadia Ferreira crowned her successor Leah Ashmore as Miss Universo Paraguay 2022 at the end of the event. The Miss Universe 2021 first runner-up was accompanied by her fiancé Marc Anthony in the audience during the show.

Hosted by Toto González and Luchi García Rubín, the glittering final aired on Trece (channel 13) featured 14 contestants competing in their swimsuits and evening gowns.

Former queens Vivian Benítez (Miss Paraguay 1991) and Yanina González (Miss Universo Paraguay 2004, Miss Universe 2004 3rd runner-up, Miss Earth - Fire 2004) were part of the judging panel.

Meet the winners:

Miss Universo Paraguay 2022 - Leah Ashmore is a 27-year-old model and former Miss Grand Paraguay. She is in the marketing and communication profession and pursuing studies in marketing and graphic design.

Miss Mundo Paraguay 2022 - Dahiana Gatzke is a 20-year-old independent model pursuing a degree in law and the English language.

Miss Internacional Paraguay 2022 - Jazmín de la Sierra is a 24-year-old model, modeling teacher, DJ, and meeting organizer for Bolivian national artists.

Miss Tierra Paraguay 2022 - Macarena Tomas is a 28-year-old international aero yoga (aerial yoga) instructor who holds a bachelor's degree in nutrition.

They will represent Paraguay at Miss Universe 2022, Miss World 2022, Miss International 2023, and Miss Earth 2022, respectively.

Completing the Top 9 finalists were Alejandra Sens, Elicena Andrada, Laurent Villar, Yanina Gómez and Nahee Lee.

France's Swann Lavigne wins Mister Supranational 2025

Pastry chef and model Swann Lavigne from France was proclaimed Mister Supranational 2025 on Saturday, June 28 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The 25-year-old bested 37 other contestants to win the international male pageant. He succeeds last year's winner Fezile Mkhize from South Africa. Zuemerik Veeris of Curacao, Mauricio Calvo of Mexico, Michael Mazi of Nigeria and Kenneth Vincent Cabungcal of the Philippines were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Meet the winners of Miss Turkey 2025

The glittering Miss Turkey 2025 national competition was held last December 19 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. A total of 20 stunning finalists were chosen to compete for the national titles that were at stake — Miss Turkey World and Miss Turkey Supranational. Sıla Saraydemir, a 22-year-old student, was crowned Miss Turkey World 2025. She is expected to represent Turkey at the 73rd Miss World competition whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Kim Rossen bested six other competitors to win Miss Universe Curacao 2023 on Saturday, May 27 at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Willemstad. The 25-year-old model, athlete, and occupational therapist living in Rotterdam, Netherlands will now prepare to represent Curacao at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador later this year. No stranger to pageantry, the University of Rotterdam graduate was first runner-up when she participated in Miss Curacao Holland 2023 last December. This year's Miss Universe Curacao final competition was hosted by Venezuelan television presenter Maite Delgado. Polish-American Emily Reng to represent Poland at Miss Universe 2025

Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. The 20-year-old will now prepare to represent Poland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Emily is a graduate of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois and is currently a student at the University of South Carolina. The new Miss Universe Poland is no stranger to pageantry. Jennifer Barreto crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026

Jennifer Barreto of San Sebastián triumphed over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026 on Thursday, June 25 in Caguas. The 27-year-old psychologist will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in the Caribbean island this November. Génesis Dávila of Arroyo was named first runner-up while Vivianie Díaz-Arroyo of Aguas Buenas, Nicole Marie Colón of Aibonito, and Chelsey García of Añasco were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Ariana Pagán of Orocovis, Natalia Molina of Salinas, and Krystal González of Utuado made the Top 8 while the representatives of Caguas, Carolina, Coamo, Dorado, Juana Díaz, Manatí and Toa Baja completed the Top 15 semifinalists. Miss Thailand 2025 is Chotnapa Kaewjarun from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

Chotnapa Kaewjarun was crowned Miss Thailand 2025 on Sunday, May 25 at MCC Hall, The Mall Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. The 25-year-old model representing Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya bested over 40 other contestants to win the beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner Panida Kernjinda of Chiang Mai. Pornchanit Sucharitakul of Pathum Thani and Kirana Youthong of Nonthaburi were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The representative of Saraburi, Panida Tangtakuljaroen, placed third runner-up while Sawankamon Rattanawutthirat of Nakhon Sawan finished as fourth runner-up.  This year's glittering competition marked the 56th edition of the annual Miss Thailand pageant. Melissa Bottema was proclaimed the winner of Miss Netherlands 2026 (Miss Universe Netherlands) on Saturday, June 27 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 25-year-old social worker, gymnastics coach and model from Groningen was crowned by her predecessor Nathalie Mogbelzada who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2025 last November in Bangkok, Thailand. Former Miss Slovensko finalist Simona Leskovská has been officially appointed as Miss Supranational Slovakia 2023. Miss Slovakia organization made the announcement on Monday, April 3 via social media. The 31-year-old beauty is a well-known influencer and sports editor from Bratislava. She took part as one of the 12 finalists of Miss Slovensko 2015 and bagged the special title Miss Pierot for her beautiful hair. Simona succeeded last year's titleholder Jana Vozárová and will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss Supranational 2023 final in Poland this July.
