Reinas del Paraguay: Nadia Ferreira crowns Leah Ashmore as Miss Universo Paraguay 2022


Reinas del Paraguay "Noche de Reinas" was held on Friday, August 26 at Paseo La Galería in Asunción where four winners took home the coveted titles.

Last year's titleholder Nadia Ferreira crowned her successor Leah Ashmore as Miss Universo Paraguay 2022 at the end of the event. The Miss Universe 2021 first runner-up was accompanied by her fiancé Marc Anthony in the audience during the show.

Hosted by Toto González and Luchi García Rubín, the glittering final aired on Trece (channel 13) featured 14 contestants competing in their swimsuits and evening gowns.

Former queens Vivian Benítez (Miss Paraguay 1991) and Yanina González (Miss Universo Paraguay 2004, Miss Universe 2004 3rd runner-up, Miss Earth - Fire 2004) were part of the judging panel.

Meet the winners:

Miss Universo Paraguay 2022 - Leah Ashmore is a 27-year-old model and former Miss Grand Paraguay. She is in the marketing and communication profession and pursuing studies in marketing and graphic design.

Miss Mundo Paraguay 2022 - Dahiana Gatzke is a 20-year-old independent model pursuing a degree in law and the English language.

Miss Internacional Paraguay 2022 - Jazmín de la Sierra is a 24-year-old model, modeling teacher, DJ, and meeting organizer for Bolivian national artists.

Miss Tierra Paraguay 2022 - Macarena Tomas is a 28-year-old international aero yoga (aerial yoga) instructor who holds a bachelor's degree in nutrition.

They will represent Paraguay at Miss Universe 2022, Miss World 2022, Miss International 2023, and Miss Earth 2022, respectively.

Completing the Top 9 finalists were Alejandra Sens, Elicena Andrada, Laurent Villar, Yanina Gómez and Nahee Lee.

Miss USA 2023: Meet the contestants

Miss USA 2023, the highly anticipated 72nd Miss USA pageant will take place on September 29 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Mister International 2023 is Kim Goodburn of Thailand

Kim Thitisan Goodburn bested 35 other competitors to win Mister International 2023 on Sunday, September 17 at the Crystal Design Center Ballroom (CDC) in Bangkok, Thailand. The 24-year-old Thai-British model and actor from Thailand also bagged the Best in National Costume award. He succeeds last year's winner Manu Franco from the Dominican Republic. William Badell of Venezuela and Edward Taiye Ogunniya of Brazil were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Lucas Schlachter of France and Shashwat Dwivedi of India rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The rest of the Top 10 finalists were the contestants from Colombia, Daniel Alejandro Garcia Molina, Peru, Joel Farach Marquina, Philippines, Jefferson Bunny, Singapore, Joshua Hee, and Spain, Borxa Ramo Ruiz. Mr Lebanon 2023 is Seif Al Walid Harb

Seif Al Walid Harb was proclaimed Mr Lebanon 2023 during the broadcast of the national competition on Sunday, October 9 on MTV Lebanon. The 23-year-old fitness trainer beat 17 other young men from various Lebanese regions to win the title. He succeeds last year's winner Hady Fakhereldine and is now expected to represent his country at the Mr World pageant. Ahmad Arzouni was announced as the first runner-up while Mohammad Abyad, Anwar Shibli, and Fares Nasereldine finished as second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Completing the Top 6 and awarded Mr Personality was Jeremy Melkonian, an inspirational competitor who lost a leg in a traffic accident a few years ago. Mostafa Dabbous was named Mr Photogenic. Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 is Brooke Bruk-Jackson

Brooke Bruk-Jackson edged out 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 on Saturday, September 16 at Harare Hippodrome. The 21-year-old model will now prepare to represent Zimbabwe at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this December. It will be her country's first participation in over two decades. Amanda Mpofu and Nokutenda Marumbwa were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "My heart is full of joy and gratitude. Thank you to each and every one of you for your kind messages and support," shared the new Miss Universe Zimbabwe. "I have gained this crown for our beautiful country, to love and to serve our people, to represent Zimbabwe internationally, and to show the world the uniqueness of Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans." Following rounds of auditions across Zimbabwe, the Top 25 contestants vying for Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 have been officially announced. Miss Suomi 2023: Meet the Top 10 finalists

From the Top 20 semifinalists, only 10 beauties have been announced to continue to the final of Miss Suomi 2023 (Miss Universe Finland 2023) next month. The announcement led by Miss Suomi national director Sunneva Sjögren was held on Tuesday, August 15 at Valo Hotel in Helsinki. This year's 90-minute final competition, to be hosted by Constantinos "Gogi" Mavromichalis and Heidi Willman, will take place on September 9 at Aino Areena in Järvenpää. Lorena Santen was crowned Miss Universe Switzerland 2023 in a national competition on Saturday, September 23 at the Hilton Hotel in Geneva. The 26-year-old economics graduate from Aargau beat 14 other competitors to win the title. She succeeds last year's winner Alia Guindi and will soon represent her country at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. Marisa Varunee Kappenthuler and Emilie Bovier were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while  Jessica Alice Schmid and Dalia Del Valle Kramer rounded out the Top 5 finalists.
