Miss Turkey 2022 competition heats up


Over 100 eligible applicants turned up for the pre-qualification round of the Miss Turkey 2022 competition on Tuesday, September 13 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul.

From this round, the special jury will select only 20 beauties who will move on to the camp process and the grand final next Tuesday, September 20 at the same venue.

The Miss Turkey Organization has yet to announce the names of the Top 20 official finalists.

Just like every year, the winners of this year's competition will represent the country at Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Supranational pageants.

The country's most prestigious beauty pageant has been sending Turkish representatives to the world's largest competitions including Miss International since 1980. One of the remarkable winners is actress and dancer Azra Akın who won Miss World 2002.

72nd Miss World heats up with contestants' arrival in Telangana, India

Miss World 2025, the 72nd Miss World competition has officially begun in Telengana, India with the arrival of over 100 contestants vying for the highly coveted title. The beauties were checked into their official residence hotel, the Trident Hotel Hyderabad, and have been rehearsing for the opening ceremony this coming Saturday, May 10 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. According to the Miss World organization, the upcoming ceremony "promises to be a vibrant display of traditional Telangana folk and tribal dance performances, beautifully choreographed in a parade-style theme that will highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region." Miss Maine USA 2024 is Anne Baldridge

Anne Baldridge was crowned Miss Maine USA 2024 in a glittering state competition held on March 10 at Boston Marriott Burlington in Burlington, Maine. The 25-year-old TV news reporter representing Casco Bay bested 11 other contestants to win the state title. She succeeds last year's winner Juliana Morehouse Locklear. Anne holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Louisville and a master's in journalism from Ball State University. Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The Miss Czech Republic 2025 national final took place on Saturday, May 3 at the Forum Karlín in Prague. Ten finalists competed the crowns at stake. Linda Górecká clinched the title of Miss World Czech Republic 2025 and is expected to represent her country at the 73rd Miss World. Kaya Chakrabortty bested over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Japan 2024 during the national competition held on Thursday, July 25 in Tokyo.
