Sabrina Deraneck resigns as Miss Grand Venezuela 2022
Sabrina Deraneck officially announced her resignation as Miss Grand Venezuela and will no longer be competing in Miss Grand International 2022.
In an official statement on social media, she said: "Giving up a dream or a crown is not easy at all, but it's not wrong to do it when it comes to your health and all your personal well-being. Sometimes there are those very personal reasons that force you to do it and this time it was my turn."
She added that it was a difficult decision to make but according to her: "God is in charge of guiding my steps and making them the right thing, at the right moment and time. There will always be reasons to continue and I'm sure there are many ways to represent my beautiful country Venezuela later on."
The 23-year-old beauty was unveiled as Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 during the national competition held in Caracas last August 13.
Following her resignation, the Miss Grand Venezuela organization also released an official statement: "We very much regret her decision, which is due to strictly personal reasons; however, our duty is to respect it and continue forward with our sights set on Miss Grand International 2022."
"Sabrina Deraneck is and will always be part of our family. She is a powerful woman with a long road ahead of her and we are sure that she will be successful in her journey."
The new Venezuelan representative for the international pageant in Indonesia this October will be announced soon.
