Miss Oregon USA 2023 is Manju Bangalore of Benton County


Miss Benton County, Manju Bangalore, was crowned Miss Oregon USA 2023 on Saturday, October 15 at the Sherwood Center for the Arts in Sherwood, Oregon.

The 25-year-old physicist, actor, model, and founder of two nonprofits edged out over 20 other competitors to win the state title in her third attempt. She succeeds last year's winner Arielle Freytag and will now prepare to represent Oregon at Miss USA 2023.

"As an Oregonian, this has been a dream of mine for so long and I'm just in shock," she excitedly told her predecessor in a video clip shortly after winning her title.

"It's literally surreal, I mean, this is the pageant that I grew up watching, like admiring all the intelligent, beautiful, strong girls. I'm just in shock," she added.

Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were Miss Klamath Falls, Amulya Chava; Miss Progress Ridge, Brooklyn Lowery; Miss Multnomah County, Kelly Smith; and Miss West Portland, Aly Nordie.

The new Miss Oregon USA is also an aspiring astronaut who has worked at two NASA centers and in the White House. She is currently enrolled in a postgraduate program training her to go to space one day.

In addition to her scientific accomplishments, her acting and modeling careers have taken her from working with Beyoncé to shooting with Sports Illustrated.

Manju founded two nonprofits, the Operation Period, and Painting With Parkinson's, to advocate for causes closest to her heart.

Apart from Miss Oregon USA, Miss Oregon Teen USA 2023 Isabella Ellsworth of Happy Valley was also crowned at the same venue over the weekend. She will proceed to compete in the Miss Teen USA 2023 pageant.

Reina Hispanoamericana 2026 is Kimberly de Boer from Curacao

Kimberly de Boer of Curacao beat 27 other contestants to win Reina Hispanoamericana 2026 on Saturday, February 21 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The 21-year-old artist and painter from Willemstad became the second woman from Curacao to hold the title next to Evalina Van Putten (2011). Marta Isabel Otero of Colombia placed second (Virreina Hispanoamericana 2026) while Criselys Garcia of the Dominican Republic and Melissa Payró of Mexico were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The rest of the runners-up were Tiffany González of Puerto Rico (3rd), Camila Chacón of Peru (4th), Emely Barile of Venezuela (5th), and Luz González of Nicaragua (6th). Miss Universe Spain 2024 is Michelle Jiménez from Balearic Islands

Miss Islas Baleares, Michelle Jiménez, was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2024 during the national competition held on Wednesday, September 11 in the municipality of Guía de Isora in Tenerife. The 21-year-old model triumphed over 16 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent Spain at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. The 24-year-old designer from Teapa, Tabasco triumphed over 30 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Former Miss Earth USA Bea Millan-Windorski joins Miss Universe Philippines 2026

Filipino-American Bea Millan-Windorski has recently been appointed as the official representative for the province of La Union at Miss Universe Philippines 2026. At just 24 years old, she is well-acquainted with the world of pageantry, having participated in Miss Earth USA 2024 in Orlando, Florida, where she clinched the title while representing Wisconsin. This achievement made her the first Filipino-American to secure a national title. Miss Universe 2025, the 74th Miss Universe competition is set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
