Miss USA 2023, the 72nd Miss USA pageant culminated in a glittering final show held on Friday, September 29 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The coveted national title went to 23-year-old Miss Utah USA, Noelia Voigt, who will now represent the USA at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. Here are the things to know about the new Miss USA: 1. Noelia Voigt of Utah was crowned Miss USA 2023 on Friday, September 29 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The 23-year-old Venezuelan-American interior designer and author of "Maddie the BRAVE" succeeds Morgan Romano and will now prepare to represent the USA at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. Savannah Gankiewicz of Hawaii was named first runner-up while Alexis Loomans of Wisconsin, Jasmine Daniels of Pennsylvania, and Lluvia Alzate of Texas were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The 51 contestants vying for the coveted title are now on their way to the national competition in Reno, Nevada. Only one of them will be crowned as USA's representative to Miss Universe 2023 which is set for November 18 in El Salvador. An esteemed panel of judges who will select Morgan Romano's successor includes beauty entrepreneur and founder of One/Size Beauty Patrick Starrr, fashion designer and businesswoman Nicole Miller, actress, director, producer and entrepreneur Vivica A. For the first time since 2019, the annual Miss USA pageant will air live on national television. The CW Television Network will broadcast Miss USA 2023 on September 29 at 8 p.m. EST from the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Miss Teen USA 2023 will also be held at the same venue, on September 28 at 7 p.m. EST, and will stream live on the network's official app and website. Further details on the upcoming national competitions including the hosts and members of the selection committee have yet to be announced. Fashion designer Laylah Rose has been announced as the new license holder and will serve as the president and CEO for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants. The founder of Laylah Rose Couture and also the CEO of VIP Pageantry replaces Miss Brand and former Miss USA national director Crystle Stewart. Reno, Nevada will again host this year's Miss USA and Miss Teen USA with Emmy Award-winning executive producer Kerri Zane of Kerri Zane Enterprises and Bud Brutsman of Brentwood Communications International, Inc. handling the productions.
