Miss Universe Argentina 2022 is Bárbara Cabrera


Bárbara Cabrera has been officially announced on Sunday, October 2 as Miss Universe Argentina 2022.

The 26-year-old textile entrepreneur and model from Buenos Aires will now prepare to represent Argentina at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA this January.

No stranger to pageantry, Bárbara was named Miss Eco Argentina 2020 and went on to compete in Miss Eco International 2021 in Egypt where she placed in the Top 20 and bagged the Best in Evening Gown award.

"My heart explodes with happiness to be able to officially tell you that I will proudly represent Argentina in Miss Universe 2022," she wrote in Spanish on social media.

"Those who know me know that it was always my big dream. Today thanks to a lot of work and the team that accompanies me, I am fulfilling it," she added.

Argentina has won Miss Universe once with Norma Beatriz Nolan in 1962. Its last placement was in 2020 with Alina Luz Akselrad who finished in the Top 21.

Pastry chef and model Swann Lavigne from France was proclaimed Mister Supranational 2025 on Saturday, June 28 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The 25-year-old bested 37 other contestants to win the international male pageant. He succeeds last year's winner Fezile Mkhize from South Africa. Miss Maine USA 2025 is Shelby Howell from Bangor

Shelby Howell, representing Bangor, was crowned Miss Maine USA 2025 during the state final held on Sunday, May 11 in Portland. The 24-year-old real estate agent succeeds last year's winner Anne Baldridge and will now proceed to represent Maine at Miss USA 2025. Mara Carpenter of Cumberland County was named first runner-up while Jordon Hudson of Hancock, Reykha Lindor of Old Town, and Hannah Trottier-Braun of Lewiston were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Polish-American Emily Reng to represent Poland at Miss Universe 2025

Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. The 20-year-old will now prepare to represent Poland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Emily is a graduate of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois and is currently a student at the University of South Carolina. The new Miss Universe Poland is no stranger to pageantry. Jennifer Barreto of San Sebastián triumphed over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026 on Thursday, June 25 in Caguas. The 27-year-old psychologist will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in the Caribbean island this November. Miss Thailand 2025 is Chotnapa Kaewjarun from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

Chotnapa Kaewjarun was crowned Miss Thailand 2025 on Sunday, May 25 at MCC Hall, The Mall Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. The 25-year-old model representing Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya bested over 40 other contestants to win the beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner Panida Kernjinda of Chiang Mai. Pornchanit Sucharitakul of Pathum Thani and Kirana Youthong of Nonthaburi were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Melissa Bottema was proclaimed the winner of Miss Netherlands 2026 (Miss Universe Netherlands) on Saturday, June 27 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 25-year-old social worker, gymnastics coach and model from Groningen was crowned by her predecessor Nathalie Mogbelzada who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2025 last November in Bangkok, Thailand. Former Miss Slovensko finalist Simona Leskovská has been officially appointed as Miss Supranational Slovakia 2023. Miss Slovakia organization made the announcement on Monday, April 3 via social media. The 31-year-old beauty is a well-known influencer and sports editor from Bratislava. She took part as one of the 12 finalists of Miss Slovensko 2015 and bagged the special title Miss Pierot for her beautiful hair. Simona succeeded last year's titleholder Jana Vozárová and will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss Supranational 2023 final in Poland this July. Antea Mršić edged out 14 other contestants to win Miss Universe Croatia 2026 on Monday, May 25 at Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. The 24-year-old sports management graduate from Zagreb will now prepare to represent Croatia at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Monika Vojvodić was named first runner-up while Laura Vujica, Magdalena Fofić and Beata Šimat were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
