Miss Universe Bulgaria 2022 is Kristina Plamenova


Kristina Plamenova has been officially announced as Miss Universe Bulgaria 2022 and will now represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe.

The 26-year-old model and law graduate hails from the northwestern Bulgarian town of Byala Slatina and is currently living in Sofia. She is no stranger to pageantry, having won the title of Miss Sofia in 2019.

Bulgaria has yet to win the Miss Universe pageant since the Balkan country debuted at the prestigious international competition in 1991.

The new Miss Universe Bulgaria succeeded last year's titleholder Elena Danova and will now prepare to travel to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA for the upcoming Miss Universe edition this January.
