Miss World Canada 2022 is Emma Morrison


Emma Morrison was crowned Miss World Canada 2022 from a field of 50 competitors during the national pageant on Sunday, November 13 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts in Ontario.

The 22-year-old proud Muskegowuk Cree woman and indigenous crafts artist from Chapleau made history by becoming the first-ever Cree First Nations titleholder.

Apart from the national title, she also bagged the coveted Beauty With A Purpose award for her "Reconnecting Through Ribbon Skirts" initiative oriented towards the empowerment of indigenous women from a young age.

No stranger to pageantry, Emma previously won the titles Miss North Ontario and Miss Teenage Canada 2017 and went on to compete in her first international pageant, the Miss Teenager Universe in Mexico City.

The new Miss World Canada succeeds last year's winner Jaime Yvonne VandenBerg and is now expected to represent her country at the 72nd Miss World pageant.

In addition to the main winner, Miss Earth Canada 2023 Layanna Robinson, Miss Intercontinental Canada 2023 Patricia Rosalyn Seward, Miss Supranational Canada 2023 Alexa Grant, and Miss Grand Canada 2023 Yuliya Scherban were also crowned at the culmination of this year's pageant. They will go to the next edition of Miss Earth, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International.

Mister Global 2025 is Alejandro Ortega from Spain

Miguel Alejandro Ortega Alaniz, representing Spain, was proclaimed the winner of Mister Global 2025 on Sunday, October 5 at MCC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 26-year-old personal trainer and sports enthusiast from Valencia bested 35 other contestants to win the male beauty title. He succeeds Daumier Corilla from the Philippines. William Badell of Venezuela and Alejandro Silva of Mexico were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Adriano Cupaioli of France and Riley Hedstrom of the USA were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. Viktoria Güllová was announced the winner of Miss Universe Slovakia 2025 during the reality show's final and coronation that aired on Tuesday, October 7. The 20-year-old student and model from Bratislava will represent Slovakia at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. Isabela Fernandez was proclaimed Miss Asia Pacific International 2025 on Wednesday, October 8 at the Cebu Coliseum in Cebu City, Philippines. The 28-year-old model from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais beat over 40 other contestants to win the international beauty title. She became the second Brazilian woman to win Miss Asia Pacific International next to Francielly Ouriques (2017). Miss Lebanon 2024 first runner-up Sarah Leena Boujaoude has recently been officially appointed as Miss Universe Lebanon 2025. The 20-year-old fashion model and a finance student at the American University of Beirut will represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2025. The 22-year-old model and medical student from Moscow edged out 49 other contestants to win the national competition. Miss Golden State, Kylie Chang was crowned Miss California USA 2025 on Saturday, August 10 at Grand Hyatt Indian Wells. The 20-year-old UC Berkeley student and model succeeded last year's winner Samantha Ramos. She became the first-ever East Asian woman to win Miss California USA.
