Miss Belgium now recovering from serious injuries after car accident


Reigning Miss Belgium Chayenne Van Aarle was seriously injured after her car crashed into a truck outside Antwerp on Tuesday afternoon.

The 23-year-old who competed in the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans is due to relinquish her national title at Miss Belgium 2023 final this Saturday.

According to reports, she was taken to the hospital unconscious from the sustained injuries on her face and the rest of her body but she is now in stable condition.

The Miss Belgium Organization confirmed that the beauty queen is now "on the mend and everything is going to be fine" but in her current situation, it seems unlikely that she will crown her successor in the upcoming event.

This was not the first car accident that happened to a national titleholder at the beginning of the year. Last month, Miss Wales 2022 Darcey Corria suffered a broken pelvis and two broken bones in her neck following an accident near Bridgend.

The Welsh beauty is also expected to make a full recovery and may be able to participate in the Miss World 2023 pageant this May.

Miss Greater Bridgeport, Shavana Clarke was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at Marriott Hartford Windsor Airport in Windsor, Connecticut. The 29-year-old model and mental health advocate will now prepare to represent the state of Connecticut at Miss USA 2024 in California this August. Danika Christopherson, representing The Village, was crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at OCCC Performing Arts Center Theater in Oklahoma City Community College. The 23-year-old former Miss Oklahoma Teen USA succeeds last year's winner Liv Walbeck. She will now prepare for the Miss USA 2024 competition to be held in California this summer. Miss Universe Greece 2024 is Christianna Katsieri

Christianna Katsieri has been officially announced as Miss Universe Greece 2024 by the Star & Mr GS Hellas organization. The 22-year-old model has previously held the title Miss GS Hellas 2022 and became Miss Earth Greece 2023. She went on to represent Greece at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam last December. Miss RNB EspaƱa 2024 is Elizabeth Laker from Tenerife

Elizabeth Laker was crowned Miss RNB EspaƱa 2024 (Miss Supranational Spain 2024) on Saturday, April 13 at Teatre Auditori de Salou (TAS). The 25-year-old personal trainer and makeup artist from Arona, Tenerife succeeds last year's winner Lola Wilson. Martina SuĆ”rez of Valencia and Ainara MartĆ­nez of La Rioja were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Madeline Bohlman, representing Northwest Arkansas, was crowned Miss Arkansas USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at OCCC Performing Arts Center Theater, Oklahoma City Community College. The 22-year-old marketing student at the University of Arkansas will head to California for Miss USA 2024 this August. Miss Universe Netherlands 2024: Meet the Top 16 finalists

From 60 beauties who participated during the casting day, only 16 will now move on as finalists for Miss Universe Netherlands 2024. The selection event and official announcement of the Top 16 finalists took place on Saturday, April 13 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. Previously held by Monica van Ee of the Miss Nederland organization, the license for Miss Universe Netherlands has been taken over this year by Milou Verhoeks of the Miss Beauty of the Netherlands. The Miss Universe Philippines organization has officially announced former Miss Universe of the USA, R'Bonney Gabriel as host of the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night. To recall, R'Bonney was crowned Miss Universe 2022 during the the 71st Miss Universe pageant held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans in January 2023. The Filipino-American fashion designer became the second Asian-American woman to win the Miss Universe title since Brook Lee (Miss Universe 1997) and so far, the oldest winner at 28 years old, succeeding Andrea Meza of Mexico.
