Miss Belgium now recovering from serious injuries after car accident


Reigning Miss Belgium Chayenne Van Aarle was seriously injured after her car crashed into a truck outside Antwerp on Tuesday afternoon.

The 23-year-old who competed in the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans is due to relinquish her national title at Miss Belgium 2023 final this Saturday.

According to reports, she was taken to the hospital unconscious from the sustained injuries on her face and the rest of her body but she is now in stable condition.

The Miss Belgium Organization confirmed that the beauty queen is now "on the mend and everything is going to be fine" but in her current situation, it seems unlikely that she will crown her successor in the upcoming event.

This was not the first car accident that happened to a national titleholder at the beginning of the year. Last month, Miss Wales 2022 Darcey Corria suffered a broken pelvis and two broken bones in her neck following an accident near Bridgend.

The Welsh beauty is also expected to make a full recovery and may be able to participate in the Miss World 2023 pageant this May.

Miss Universe Mexico 2025 is Fatima Bosch of Tabasco

Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. The 24-year-old designer from Teapa, Tabasco triumphed over 30 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. The 20-year-old will now prepare to represent Poland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Former Miss Queen of Portugal Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2025 last Saturday, June 14 in the beautiful and historic city of Elvas. The 26-year-old from São Sebastião, Setúbal made history as the first married woman and mother to become Miss Universe Portugal. Iceland's Helena O'Connor withdraws from Miss Universe 2025

The Miss Iceland Organization has announced today that Miss Universe Iceland 2025 Helena Hafþórsdóttir O'Connor has withdrawn from the 74th Miss Universe pageant. In an official statement released on social media, the organization said that the 21-year-old psychology student from Viðey has been ill for the past few days. The statement also stated: "She is thankfully recovering but we are devastated to announce that, due to personal reasons, she has made the difficult decision of withdrawing from the Miss Universe competition in Thailand."
