Miss International 2023 will be held in Shibuya, Tokyo on October 26
It's now official, the Miss International 2023 final competition will be held at the Yoyogi Gymnasium No. 2 in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on October 26, 2023.
Shibuya, a special ward in Tokyo, is a major commercial and financial center. It houses two of the busiest railway stations in the world, the Shinjuku Station and Shibuya Station. The shopping district surrounding the station is known as one of the fashion centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major nightlife area.
This year's international event will be the 61st edition of the Miss International pageant. The organizers promised to bring fans "the biggest and most exciting Miss International edition of all."
Reigning Miss International Jasmin Selberg of Germany will crown her successor at the culmination of the final show. The Estonia-born beauty was crowned last December as Germany's third winner following Ingrid Finger (Miss International 1965) and Iris Klein (Miss International 1989).
As of today (March 30), a total of 14 national titleholders have already been announced to compete with Martinique making a return to the pageant after 12 years of absence.
Early front runners include beauties from Colombia (Sofía Osío), Mexico (Itzía Garcia), Paraguay (Jazmín de la Sierra), the Philippines (Nicole Borromeo), and Venezuela (Andrea Rubio).
Last year, a total of 66 contestants turned up for the 60th Miss International anniversary edition at the Tokyo Dome City Hall following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
