Miss Grand Australia 2023 is Mikaela-Rose Fowler


Mikaela-Rose Fowler was crowned Miss Grand Australia 2023 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 15 at the RACV City Club in Melbourne.

The 28-year-old disability support worker and an ADHD advocate from Victoria will now prepare to represent Australia at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October.

Paitin Louise Powell was named first runner-up while Brooke Murray, Selina McCloskey, and Alecia McCallum were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Last year's titleholder and now national director Amber Sidney crowned her successor at the end of the event.

The new Miss Grand Australia hopes to use her platform to help reduce the stigma around disability, to spread kindness and compassion, and to help other people who are experiencing their own struggles.

Cuba's Juan Carlos Ariosa wins 8th Mister Global competition

Mister Global Cuba Juan Carlos Ariosa beat 38 other competitors to win Mister Global 2022 held on Saturday, February 11 at the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The 28-year-old actor, model, and dental surgeon originally from Matanzas, Cuba succeeded Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam for the coveted international title. He also bagged the Mister Photogenic award. Oscar Guerrero of Colombia and William Gama of Brazil were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Kim Hee Won of Korea and Setthapan Thongsuk of Thailand rounded out the Top 5 finalists. California's Athenna Crosby crowned Miss World America 2024

Athenna Crosby of California bested over 40 other contestants to win the Miss World America 2024 pageant on Sunday, November 17 in Seattle, Washington. The 26-year-old American-Venezuelan model and actress succeeds last year's winner Victoria DiSorbo and will now prepare to represent the United States of America at the 72nd Miss World. Kimberly Nwankolo of Oregon was named first runner-up while Anne Li of the District of Columbia, Aishwarya Kumar of Central Washington, and Heather Alexia Santos of Washington were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss World America is a devoted advocate for people with disabilities. Aside from modeling and acting, she is also a journalist, singer, and a TV presenter. Jennifer Barreto of San Sebastián triumphed over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026 on Thursday, June 25 in Caguas. The 27-year-old psychologist will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in the Caribbean island this November. Génesis Dávila of Arroyo was named first runner-up while Vivianie Díaz-Arroyo of Aguas Buenas, Nicole Marie Colón of Aibonito, and Chelsey García of Añasco were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Melissa Bottema was proclaimed the winner of Miss Netherlands 2026 (Miss Universe Netherlands) on Saturday, June 27 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 25-year-old social worker, gymnastics coach and model from Groningen was crowned by her predecessor Nathalie Mogbelzada who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2025 last November in Bangkok, Thailand. Miss Maine USA 2025 is Shelby Howell from Bangor

Shelby Howell, representing Bangor, was crowned Miss Maine USA 2025 during the state final held on Sunday, May 11 in Portland. The 24-year-old real estate agent succeeds last year's winner Anne Baldridge and will now proceed to represent Maine at Miss USA 2025. Mara Carpenter of Cumberland County was named first runner-up while Jordon Hudson of Hancock, Reykha Lindor of Old Town, and Hannah Trottier-Braun of Lewiston were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Rina Andrea Delos Santos of Ballesteros, Cagayan was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2026 on Saturday, June 27 at the Cultural Center of Malitbog, Bukidnon. The 27-year-old medical technology graduate edged out over 30 other contestants to win the national pageant. She will represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2026 later this year. Kamilla Kiss, 25, was crowned Miss Universe Hungary 2026 on Friday, June 19 at Kálmán Imre Theater in Budapest. She beat 11 other contestants to win the national competition and will now prepare to represent Hungary at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November.
