Miss Grand Japan 2023 is Yayoi Machida


Yayoi Machida was crowned Miss Grand Japan 2023 in a national competition held on Sunday, July 16 at the Tokyo FM Hall in Tokyo.

The 26-year-old beauty from Tokyo bested 13 other competitors to win the title. She succeeds Seira Inoue and will now represent Japan at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October.

Karina Yamada was named first runner-up while Yuka Oyama, Taeko Yoshida, and Yuki Furihata were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively, while Mizuki Ueda and Saki Inoue rounded out the Top 7 finalists.

The new Miss Grand Japan also bagged the Best in Evening Gown, Miss Popular, and the Mix Chanel Award.

Miss Universe 2025: Meet the contestants

Miss Universe 2025, the 74th Miss Universe competition is set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria KjĂŠr Theilvig from Denmark will hand over her crown to her successor at the conclusion of the event. This year's much-talked-about edition marked Thailand's fourth time hosting the prestigious beauty pageant after 1992, 2005, and 2018. Karla Bacigalupo was crowned Miss Peru 2025 (Miss Universe Peru 2025) in a national competition held last Sunday, June 15 in the historic city of Cusco. The 33-year-old actress and producer will now prepare to represent Peru at Miss Universe 2025 to be held in Thailand this November. Former Reina Hispanoamerican Maricielo Gamarra was announced as first runner-up while former Top Model of the World Janet Leyva finished as the second runner-up. Miss Venezuela 2024, the 71st Miss Venezuela pageant, was held on Thursday, December 5 at Espacio Caracas. Stephany Abasali, a 24-year-old economics student representing Anzoåtegui, bested 22 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Venezuela 2024. Karín Aridi of Amazonas was named first runner-up while Vanessa Pérez of Distrito Capital, Sarilé Gonzålez of Miranda, and Vanessa Peroza of Nueva Esparta were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Idil Bilgen was crowned Miss Turkey World 2024 during the Miss Turkey 2024 national final on Wednesday, September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. The 24-year-old medical doctor bested 19 other competitors to win the national title. She will prepare to represent TĂŒrkiye at the 72nd Miss World whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Former Miss Queen of Portugal Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2025 last Saturday, June 14 in the beautiful and historic city of Elvas. The 26-year-old from SĂŁo SebastiĂŁo, SetĂșbal made history as the first married woman and mother to become Miss Universe Portugal.
