Petra Hämäläinen to represent Finland at Miss International 2023


Miss Suomi 2022 (Miss Finland 2022) Petra Hämäläinen was officially announced as Miss International Finland 2023 on Wednesday, July 26.

National director Sunneva Sjögren made the announcement with the presence of reigning Miss International Jasmin Selberg of Germany at the Choicely office in Helsinki.

The 27-year-old teacher and model with a bachelor's degree in educational sciences will now prepare to represent Finland at Miss International 2023 in Tokyo, Japan this October.

Petra was crowned Miss Suomi in September last year, held the title of Miss Universe Finland, and went on to participate in the 71st Miss Universe pageant held in New Orleans, Louisiana in January.

As an ambassador for HaTTu ry, she raises money and awareness for the nonprofit organization that provides an equal chance for children from low-income families to have a hobby. She believes in the importance of hobbies and communities for their well-being.

The new Miss International Finland will be formally designated for the title on September 9 as she also relinquishes her national crown to the winner of Miss Suomi 2023.

Breea Yamat was crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2024 during the state final competition held on Friday, April 19 at Royal Hawaii Center Theater. The 27-year-old Mexican-Filipina beauty from Oahu will now prepare to represent Hawaii at Miss USA 2024 in Hollywood, California in August. Ukraine's Angelina Usanova crowned Miss Eco International 2024

Angelina Usanova from Ukraine was crowned Miss Eco International 2024 on Sunday, April 28 at the Triumph Luxury Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter bested over 40 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeds last year's winner from Vietnam, Nguyen Thanh Ha. Chantal Schmidt of the Philippines was announced first runner-up while Nikita Dani of Canada, Fabiane Alcarde Goia of Brazil, and Valerie Avril of Indonesia were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. This year's event marked the 9th edition of the Miss Eco International pageant. It was also the first time for Ukraine to win the competition. Miss Delaware USA 2024 is Alysa Bainbridge

Miss Newark, Alysa Bainbridge, was crowned Miss Delaware USA 2024 during the state final on Sunday, April 28 at Laird Performing Arts Center in Wilmington. The 25-year-old public speaker, host, and mental health advocate will now prepare to represent Delaware at Miss USA 2024 in Hollywood, California this summer. She succeeds last year's winner Noa Mills. No stranger to pageantry, Alysa was the winner of Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen 2016. In 2022, she became Miss Pennsylvania and went to Miss America 2023 in Connecticut last December. The new Miss Delaware USA was born and raised in Berks County, Pennsylvania. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Saint Joseph's University and a master's in leadership from Cabrini University. Alysa is an adovocate for mental health and recovery. Pia Theissen was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2024 on Sunday, April 28 at Living Hotel de Medici in Düsseldorf. The 25-year-old social worker, occupational therapist and yoga teacher from Cologne will now prepare to represent Germany at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year. Annabelle Keller and Ilke Filiz were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Angelina Matic, Jennifer Monreal, and Tatjana Genrich rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Miss Universe Netherlands' national director Milou Verhoeks, reigning Miss Denmark Nikoline Uhrenholt Hansen, and former Miss Universe Germany Soraya Kohlmann were among the judges. Peru's Luciana Vasquez crowned Teen Universe 2024

Luciana Vasquez from Peru was crowned Teen Universe 2024 on Sunday, April 28 in a glittering competition held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The 18-year-old fashion model and student from Iquitos, a city in the region of Loreto, succeeds last year's winner from Mexico,  Mariana García . Valentina Colmenares of Venezuela was the first runner-up while Maria Eugênia Raposo of Brazil, Ana Paredes of Spain, and Ziari Ruiz of Nicaragua were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. From 59 semifinalists, only 32 beauties (two from each region) have been selected to move on to the final competition to be held this July. Miss Okemos, Alma Cooper was crowned Miss Michigan USA 2024 on Sunday, April 21 at McMorran Entertainment Center in Port Huron, Michigan. The 22-year-old scholar, advocate and US Army officer will now prepare to represent Michigan at Miss USA 2024 in Hollywood, California this August. Alma holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
