Petra Hämäläinen to represent Finland at Miss International 2023


Miss Suomi 2022 (Miss Finland 2022) Petra Hämäläinen was officially announced as Miss International Finland 2023 on Wednesday, July 26.

National director Sunneva Sjögren made the announcement with the presence of reigning Miss International Jasmin Selberg of Germany at the Choicely office in Helsinki.

The 27-year-old teacher and model with a bachelor's degree in educational sciences will now prepare to represent Finland at Miss International 2023 in Tokyo, Japan this October.

Petra was crowned Miss Suomi in September last year, held the title of Miss Universe Finland, and went on to participate in the 71st Miss Universe pageant held in New Orleans, Louisiana in January.

As an ambassador for HaTTu ry, she raises money and awareness for the nonprofit organization that provides an equal chance for children from low-income families to have a hobby. She believes in the importance of hobbies and communities for their well-being.

The new Miss International Finland will be formally designated for the title on September 9 as she also relinquishes her national crown to the winner of Miss Suomi 2023.

Spain wins second Mister Supranational title

Pedro Cordero, a 23-year-old model from Cártama (Málaga), was announced the winner of Mister Supranational 2026 during the pageant's 10th edition, which took place on Saturday, August 1, in Nowy Sącz, Poland. He became the second Spanish representative to claim the international male beauty title, following Iván Álvarez Guedes, who won in 2023. The inaugural edition of the Reina Filipinas beauty pageant was held on Friday, August 7 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City. Palawan's Angelica Lopez, former Miss International Philippines, was crowned Reina Filipinas Grand International 2026 and will represent the Philippines at Miss Miss Grand International 2026 pageant this October. Jaime VandenBerg was announced the winner of Miss Universe Canada 2025 on Saturday, August 9 at the Chrysler Theatre in Windsor, Ontario. The 28-year-old international model and actress from Lethbridge, Alberta will represent Canada at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Vanessa Pulgarin from Colombia was proclaimed the winner MGI All Stars 2026 on Saturday, May 30 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The glittering Miss Turkey 2025 national competition was held last December 19 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. A total of 20 stunning finalists were chosen to compete for the national titles that were at stake — Miss Turkey World and Miss Turkey Supranational. The 17th Miss Supranational beauty pageant was held on Friday, July 31 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Katrina Llegado, a 28-year-old financial management graduate from the Philippines, was crowned Miss Supranational 2026 by her predecessor Eduarda Braum of Brazil.
