Miss International Cuba 2023 is Sheyla Ravelo Perez

Former Miss Earth Cuba, Sheyla Ravelo Perez was crowned Miss International Cuba 2023 in a national competition held over the weekend in Tampa, Florida.

The 23-year-old Cuba-born beauty succeeds last year's titleholder Rachel Martín and will now prepare to represent Cuba at Miss International 2023 in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan this October.

No stranger to pageantry, the environmental advocate previously held the title of Miss Earth Cuba and went on to participate in Miss Earth 2022 held in the Philippines where she placed in the Top 12 among 85 contestants.

"With a grateful heart and a humbled spirit, I vow to represent nuestra patria with grace and dignity as I wear Cuba across my heart and once again make history para nuestra isla bella," shared the new Miss International Cuba.

Sheyla resides in the United States and is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in health and behavior.

At present, she is working as a national coordinator for the UN Ocean Decade's ECOP Programme and is also a Global Cleanup Ambassador for an organization that is dedicated to environmental conservation, EARTHDAY.ORG.
