R'Bonney Gabriel reacts as allegations on Miss USA 2022 were proven false

Reigning Miss Universe reacted following a press release of the Miss Universe Organization confirming that the rigged allegations on Miss USA 2022 were false.

R'Bonney Gabriel went to social media to share: "Winning Miss USA was a dream come true. But then many accusations followed claiming was win was rigged."

"Long story short, a 3rd party thorough investigation was conducted, and the accusations were found false, I was able to go compete at Miss Universe, and thankfully won."

She continued with what she learned from her experience: "Many things will try to knock you down in life, never let them block or distract you from working towards your goal. We can't control unfortunate events in life, but we can control how we react and let them affect us. Use adversity to make you stronger."

"I believe everything in life happens for a reason, if I would have let this bring me down and stop training for Universe during this controversy, I never would have won Miss Universe, and now I have the opportunity to speak about the importance of not allowing the outside noise distract you from working towards your dreams."

MUO conducted an extensive investigation through a 3rd party when rigged allegations went viral following last year's Miss USA final.

An official statement released on Tuesday confirmed, "After a thorough and extensive investigation, it was found that accusations of rigging of the 2022 Miss USA Pageant were false."

The organization also thanked former Miss USA national director Crystle Stewart and the entire Miss Brand team for their "unwavering cooperation and transparency" throughout the entire investigation.

"Their willingness to provide full assistance and support during that challenging time is a testament to their professionalism and integrity."

R'Bonney will crown her successor as Miss Universe at the culmination of the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) this November 18 in El Salvador.
