Miss Grand Uzbekistan 2023 is Amaliya Shakirova


Uzbekistan, a Central Asian nation and former Soviet republic, is set to debut at the Miss Grand International pageant this year with the recently announced Miss Grand Uzbekistan 2023 Amaliya Shakirova.

The 28-year-old beauty hailing from Tashkent and currently based in the Philippines was officially crowned on Sunday, September 3 by Miss Grand Uzbekistan national director Olinda Cho in a special ceremony held at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City.

"Can't describe how blessed and happy I feel to have you all by my side. Can't wait to share my [Miss Grand International] journey with you all. Thank you for your love and support," shared the professional model and ocean advocate on social media.

Amaliya is no stranger to pageantry as she has previously joined Miss CosmoWorld 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and placed first runner-up.

She will now prepare to represent Uzbekistan at Miss Grand International 2023 to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam this October.

Danielle Latimer beat over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Great Britain 2025 on Saturday, July 26 at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales. The 36-year-old entrepreneur, stylist and photographer will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Miss Universe 2025, the 74th Miss Universe competition is set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark will hand over her crown to her successor at the conclusion of the event. Miss Universe 2026 host country and venue officially announced

The Miss Universe Organization has officially confirmed that Puerto Rico will be the host country for the Miss Universe 2026 pageant. Puerto Rican politician Jenniffer González Colón also made an announcement in a conference held on Tuesday, September 23 in San Juan. The 75th Miss Universe edition will be held in November 2026 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, the largest indoor entertainment and sports arena in Puerto Rico. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark was present at the conference alongside former winners from Puerto Rico — Deborah Carthy-Deu (1985), Dayanara Torres (1993), Denise Quiñones (2001), and Zuleyka Rivera (2006). Transgender woman Nguyen Huong Giang to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2025

Former Miss International Queen winner Nguyen Huong Giang has been officially announced on Wednesday, September 25 as Miss Universe Vietnam 2025. The 33-year-old model, singer and actress from Hanoi made history as the first ever transgender woman to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe. Huong Giang rose to prominence when she joined the fourth season of Vietnam Idol. She also competed and won The Amazing Race Vietnam 2014 with her ex-boyfriend Criss Lai. Kaori Hashimoto was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, July 16 in Shibuya. The 21-year-old business administration student from Tochigi Prefecture beat over 40 other contestants to win the national title.
