Madeleine Malmberg to represent Norway at Miss International 2023


Miss Norway 2023 (Miss Universe Norway 2023) fourth runner-up Madeleine Malmberg has been officially appointed as Miss International Norway 2023.

The 19-year-old high school student from Fredrikstad is now preparing to compete in Miss International 2023 in Japan this October. She succeeds last year's titleholder, Romée Dahlen.

Apart from her studies, Madeleine is also a model, aspiring actress, and children's rights advocate.

Her advocacy is focused on education especially for underprivileged children as she believes it will help them from becoming potential victims of human trafficking.

"An enlightened younger generation will be better equipped to recognize dangers, stand up for themselves and others, and resist the temptations that could lead them into a perilous world," written on her official website.

Norway has won the Japan-based Miss International pageant twice with former model Catherine Gude in 1988 and actress Anne Lena Hansen in 1995.

The Top 12 for best national costume at Miss Earth 2023 has been officially announced. Three costumes that received the most votes from each continental group make up the finalists. Online voting was conducted on Miss Earth's official Facebook page following the national costume competition held on Saturday, December 16 at the Van Thanh Flower Village in Dalat, Vietnam. Following the Miss Earth 2023 blue carpet evening gown competition and "Xin Chao" welcome ceremony held last Sunday at the Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City, online voting was conducted on social media for "Best Appearance" from December 4 to December 8. Jan Carrasco was proclaimed Mister Supranational Dominican Republic 2023 on Saturday, April 22 at the Auditorio Patrick N. Hughson in Santo Domingo. The 29-year-old actor and photographer representing Santiago bested 14 other competitors to win the national competition. Eliise Randmaa was crowned Miss World Estonia 2023 in a glittering national competition held on Friday, August 25 at Kadriorg Castle in Tallinn. The 23-year-old software developer and cheerleader from Kirna, Järva County bested nine other contestants to win the national title. She is now expected to represent Estonia at Miss World 2024. Maria Gigante has been officially appointed as Universal Woman Philippines 2024 and will represent the Philippines in the upcoming Universal Woman 2024 competition. The 30-year-old host, model, and entrepreneur from Cebu will be the first-ever Filipina representative in the international competition. No stranger to pageantry, Maria was a contestant at Binibining Pilipinas 2016. She also participated in Miss World Philippines 2022 where she placed in the Top 11 and bagged the Non-Fungible Beauty Award and Best in Creative Editorial and Fashion Photo.
