Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel meets with President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador

Reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel had the incredible opportunity to meet with President Nayib Bukele on her last day in El Salvador.

Wearing an elegant blue dress, the beauty queen was accompanied by MUO's Nick Teplitz as she was welcomed at the presidential office for her first meeting with the nation's leader.

R'Bonney touched down in El Salvador earlier this week to start pre-filming for the upcoming Miss Universe 2023 pageant. She has toured various places in the country and shared her wonderful experiences on social media.

"Thank you El Salvador for your hospitality and kindness. We will see you in November for the 72nd Miss Universe competition," Miss Universe posted on Instagram.

President Bukele officially announced earlier this year that Miss Universe 2023 will be hosted in his country. The final is set to be held on November 18.

"El Salvador is a country that is full of beauty. We have the best surfing beaches in the world, magnificent volcanoes, exquisite coffee, and we now have become the safest country in Latin America," he said.
