Miss Louisiana USA 2024 is Sydney Taylor of Lafayette


Sydney Taylor, the representative of Lafayette, was crowned Miss Louisiana USA 2024 in a glittering competition on Saturday, March 30 at Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie.

The 22-year-old former Miss Teen Louisiana USA and Miss Teen USA 2020 fourth runner-up will head to California to compete for Miss USA 2024 this summer.

"My heart is so full of gratitude and I’m so thankful for this journey that God has placed in front of me," Sydney posted on social media.

"I can't even express the amount of gratitude I feel to have the chance to represent Louisiana at Miss USA and to spread love across the state for a whole year."

The new Miss Louisiana USA succeeds last year's winner, news anchor Sylvia Masters.

Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 is Michaela Tomanová

Michaela Tomanová was crowned Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 (Miss Universe Czechia) on Wednesday, June 25 at Chateau de Frontiere in Hlohovec. The 27-year-old mother, model and scientist from Prague will represent the Czech Republic at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Completing the Top 4 finalists were Eva Brožková, Petra Šafránková, and Sarah Duong Vu Thi Thuy. The new Miss Universe Czech Republic became the first national winner under the directorship of fashion designer Sam Dolce. Pastry chef and model Swann Lavigne from France was proclaimed Mister Supranational 2025 on Saturday, June 28 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The 25-year-old bested 37 other contestants to win the international male pageant. He succeeds last year's winner Fezile Mkhize from South Africa.
