Peru's Luciana Vasquez crowned Teen Universe 2024


Luciana Vasquez from Peru was crowned Teen Universe 2024 on Sunday, April 28 in a glittering competition held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The 18-year-old fashion model and student from Iquitos, a city in the region of Loreto, succeeds last year's winner from Mexico, Mariana García.

Valentina Colmenares of Venezuela was the first runner-up while Maria Eugênia Raposo of Brazil, Ana Paredes of Spain, and Ziari Ruiz of Nicaragua were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Aside from the new Teen Universe, Lana Collantes of the Philippines was also crowned Teen Universe Petite 2024 while the representative of Latina USA, Natalie Grace, clinched the title Pre-Teen Universe 2024.

This year's event marked the 13th edition of Teen Universe, an international pageant for teenage girls from different backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles around the world.

Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua is a former contestant who placed in the Top 6 at Teen Universe 2017 which was held in Managua.

Miss South Dakota USA 2024 is Ahmitara Alwal

Miss Southern South Dakota, Ahmitara Alwal, bested seven other contestants to win Miss South Dakota USA 2024 on May 12 at the Watertown Events Center. The 25-year-old Winona State University graduate from Sioux Falls will represent South Dakota at Miss USA 2024 this August in Hollywood, California. Miss Universe Bahamas 2024 is Selvinique Wright

Miss Andros, Selvinique Wright was crowned Miss Universe Bahamas 2024 on Sunday, May 12 at Atlantis Showroom in Paradise Island. The 31-year-old founder of the "Women's Health.. Us First" foundation will now prepare to represent the Bahamas at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) in Mexico this November. Her foundation, which focuses on fibroids awareness, aims to promote education, foster research, build a supportive community, and advocate for better health. No stranger to pageantry, Selvinique is a former Miss Grand Bahamas who participated in Miss Grand International 2016 in Las Vegas where she placed in the Top 10 and bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. After 25 years, Bonaire is returning to the Miss Universe stage with the newly appointed Miss Universe Bonaire 2024 Ruby Pouchet. The 28-year-old from Kralendijk will now prepare to represent Bonaire at the Miss Universe 2024 (73rd Miss Universe) pageant in Mexico later this year. Miss Namibia 2024: Meet the Top 10 finalists

From the Top 20, only 10 finalists have been selected to continue their journey to the Miss Namibia 2024 crown. The Top 10 were officially revealed during the preliminary competition held on Saturday, May 11 at Droombos Windhoek. This year's much-awaited final competition date and venue have yet to be announced. The Miss Namibia organization headed by Umbi Karuaihe-Upi currently holds the national license for Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth pageants. Last year's winner Jameela Uiras went to Miss Universe 2023 last November in El Salvador where she placed in the Top 20. Due to Miss World rules, Namibia's next Miss World representative has to be a national winner. Alejandra Rodríguez was crowned Miss Universe Buenos Aires 2024 in a competition held on Sunday, April 21 at Corregidor Hotel in La Plata. The 60-year-old lawyer and journalist bested more than 30 other contestants to win the title. She will now prepare to represent Buenos Aires at Miss Universe Argentina 2024. To recall, the Miss Universe Organization removed the age limit requirement last year so now anyone from the age of 18 can join the pageant and this applies to all its national franchises. Nova Liana was crowned Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2024 (Miss Grand Indonesia 2024) on Sunday, May 19 at Istora Senayan in Jakarta. The 23-year-old beauty from Palembang, South Sumatra bested more than 40 other contestants to win the national title. Miss Western North Dakota, Codi Miller, was crowned Miss North Dakota USA 2024 last Sunday, May 12 at the Watertown Events Center in Watertown, South Dakota. The 31-year-old former Miss North Dakota Teen USA just broke the records as the oldest woman to have ever won Miss North Dakota USA.
