Miss New Zealand 2024 is Samantha Poole


Samantha Poole bested 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss New Zealand 2024 (Miss International New Zealand 2024) on Sunday, May 5 at Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna Beach.

The 21-year-old model and digital design graduate of Auckland University of Technology will represent New Zealand at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan later this year.

"What an incredible night. I'm so grateful for all the messages and kind words, thank you for all the support. It all still feels surreal, but everyone on that stage had worked so hard to be there," she wrote on social media.

Rovelyn Milford was named first runner-up and Miss Supranational New Zealand 2025. She is expected to participate in Miss Supranational 2025 in Poland.

Sharlene Sharma, the second runner-up and Miss Intercontinental New Zealand 2024 will go to the Miss Intercontinental 2024 competition later this year.

Maria Anna Franchezca Cabatay and Charlotte Meiklejohn were announced as the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Sunday's glittering event also culminated with 26-year-old Inge Carolus taking home the title of Miss Auckland 2024.

The new Miss New Zealand succeeds last year's winner Georgia Waddington who now holds the title of Miss Charm New Zealand 2024 and will compete in the Miss Charm 2024 pageant.

Miss Alabama USA 2024 is Diane Westhoven

Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. The Miss America 2025 final competition will be held this Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. Abbie Stockard from Vestavia Hills, Alabama was crowned Miss America 2025 on Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. The 22-year-old nursing student and cheerleader at Auburn University beat 51 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner, active duty Air Force officer Madison Marsh of Colorado. Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Milla Magee was crowned Miss England 2024 (Miss World England) on Friday, May 17 at The Grand Station in Wolverhampton. The 23-year-old qualified beach lifeguard from Newquay, Cornwall bested 39 other contestants to win the national title. She received the crown from her predecessor, the 71st Miss World Top 8 finalist who was awarded the titles Miss World Europe and Miss United Kingdom  Jessica Ashley Gagen . Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
