Miss South Dakota USA 2024 is Ahmitara Alwal


Miss Southern South Dakota, Ahmitara Alwal, bested seven other contestants to win Miss South Dakota USA 2024 on May 12 at the Watertown Events Center.

The 25-year-old Winona State University graduate from Sioux Falls will represent South Dakota at Miss USA 2024 this August in Hollywood, California.

Ahmitara was crowned by last year's winner, former White House intern Amber Hulse.

2nd runner-up - Lexus Paulson (Southeast South Dakota)

4th runner-up - Aubrie Larson (Mitchell)

Brandon's Olivia Odenbrett, a former Miss South Dakota's Outstanding Teen titleholder was crowned Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2024.

The 17-year-old will also travel to California in the summer for Miss Teen USA 2024.

Nathalie Yasmin Mogbelzada, representing Noord-Holland, was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Netherlands 2025 on Saturday, July 5 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 28-year-old beauty from Amsterdam was crowned by her predecessor  Faith Landman and will now prepare to represent the Netherlands at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. The 27-year-old mother, model and scientist from Prague will represent the Czech Republic at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November.
