Turks and Caicos returns to the Miss Universe pageant


Turks and Caicos, a British Overseas Territory southeast of the Bahamas, is set to return to the Miss Universe pageant after a 10-year hiatus.

Former Miss Universe Haiti, Haitian-Canadian model Gabriela Clesca Vallejo was revealed as the national director for Miss Universe Turks and Caicos last April.

The Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2024 coronation will be held this Friday, July 26 at the Gustavus Lightbourne Sports Complex in Kew Town, Providenciales.

Miss Universe 2023 from Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios, will attend the event as a special guest. This is the first time in history that a reigning Miss Universe has visited the islands for the national pageant.

Eight contestants, Tinell Garland, Selena Grant, Renelle Smith, Raynae Myers, Erline Dorastin, Elisha Abigail Martinez, Bereniece Dickenson, and Alejandra Parnell, will compete for the crown.

Turks and Caicos last joined Miss Universe in 2014 with Shanice Williams. The next Miss Universe Turks and Caicos will go on to represent the archipelago at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November.

Vanessa Pulgarin of Colombia crowned MGI All Stars 2026

Vanessa Pulgarin from Colombia was proclaimed the winner MGI All Stars 2026 on Saturday, May 30 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 34-year-old model bested over 50 other contestants to win the first edition of the pageant. She is expected to return for the second edition to defend her title. Faith Maria Porter of Ghana and Nguyen Huong Giang of Vietnam were respectively named the first and second runners-up while Mariana Bečková of the Czech Republic and Gazini Ganados of the Philippines completed the Top 5. Miss Universe Croatia 2026 is Antea Mršić from Zagreb

Antea Mršić edged out 14 other contestants to win Miss Universe Croatia 2026 on Monday, May 25 at Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. The 24-year-old sports management graduate from Zagreb will now prepare to represent Croatia at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Monika Vojvodić was named first runner-up while Laura Vujica, Magdalena Fofić and Beata Šimat were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. "I am endlessly grateful for every single person who believed in me," the new Miss Universe Croatia shared online. Bea Millan-Windorski of La Union was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2026 during the final of the national pageant on Saturday, May 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The 24-year-old Filipino-American beauty succeeded Maria Ahtisa Manalo from Quezon Province. She will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant, which is set to take place in Puerto Rico later this year. The coronation ball for The Miss Philippines 2026 took place on Sunday, May 10, at the Grand Ballroom in City of Dreams Manila. Miss Thailand 2025 is Chotnapa Kaewjarun from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

Chotnapa Kaewjarun was crowned Miss Thailand 2025 on Sunday, May 25 at MCC Hall, The Mall Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. The 25-year-old model representing Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya bested over 40 other contestants to win the beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner Panida Kernjinda of Chiang Mai. Pornchanit Sucharitakul of Pathum Thani and Kirana Youthong of Nonthaburi were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Isabella Rossini, 20, from Czech Republic, was crowned Miss Aura International 2026 at the conclusion of the pageant on Friday, May 22 at FashionTV Luxe Resort in Antalya, Turkey. The professional model, singer and theater actress bested over 40 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeds Krishan Pauline Alerre of the Philippines. Kaori Hashimoto was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, July 16 in Shibuya. The 21-year-old business administration student from Tochigi Prefecture beat over 40 other contestants to win the national title. Luren Márquez was crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) in a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15 at the Teatro Municipal del Callao. The 27-year-old television presenter and model received the crown from her predecessor Karla Bacigalupo with the presence of the reigning Miss Universe Fátima Bosch from Mexico. Born in Ica, the new Miss Universe Peru is a business administration graduate from the University of Lima.
