King's Guard Manuel Alcantara Turner wins Mr England 2024


Manuel Alcantara Turner was named Mr England 2024 (Mr World England 2024) on Tuesday, August 20 at The City Rooms in Leicester.

The 22-year-old King's Guard from Windsor, Berks made history as the first-ever serving soldier to become Mr England.

He bested 11 other finalists to win the national title and will represent England at Mr World 2024 in Vietnam this November.

Nathan Angel, a sheep farmer and wrestler from Purbeck, Dorset, placed second while Dil Malik, a web designer and fitness coach from Ealing, West London, placed third.

Bal Tattla, an accountant from West London was awarded as the Public Vote winner, while Thomas Dood from Kent was the Top Fundraiser for Balls to Cancer.

Cristian Hawkins from Sussex bagged the Social Media King award.

The new Mr England, a lance corporal with the Coldstream Guards in the British Army, proudly attended HM Queen Elizabeth's funeral and King Charles' coronation as a King's Guardsman.

This year's Mr England competition was hosted by the reigning Miss England (Miss World England), Milla Magee.

Miss Anambra, Basil Onyinyechi, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 on Saturday, August 30 at Balmoral Convention Center in Victoria Island, Lagos. She bested 21 other contestants to win her national title and will now prepare to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Idah Eno of Akwa Ibom clinched the crown of Miss Supranational Nigeria 2025 and will head to Poland for Miss Supranational 2025 next summer. The Miss Nepal 2025 pageant was held on Saturday, August 30 at the  Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur. In addition to Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal International, and Miss Nepal Earth, the 26 contestants also competed for the new title of Miss Nepal Cosmo. Luna Luitel, 26, from Kathmandu was crowned Miss Nepal World 2025 and will go to the Miss World 2026 competition whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Choi Soon-hwa recently created a buzz in the pageant community when she appeared as the oldest contestant vying for Miss Universe Korea 2024. The 81-year-old senior model who walked her first runway in her 70s made history as she competes alongside more than 30 others in the upcoming national competition. If she wins this year's Miss Universe Korea, she will be the oldest Korean representative and contestant in the 73-year history of the Miss Universe pageant. Veena Praveenar Singh bested 76 other contestants to win Miss Universe Thailand 2025 in a spectacular show on Saturday, August 23 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 29-year-old beauty representing the province of Saraburi will now prepare to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. The spectacular Miss Universe 2024 preliminary competition and national costume show was held last night at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Hosted by reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios and Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, the important event kicked off with the contestants parading in their colorful and stunning national costumes. After the national costume segment, each contestant walked on stage in their swimsuits and capes, and then by group during the evening gown. Former Miss France Eve Gilles has been officially named Miss Universe France 2025 by the Miss France organization. The 22-year-old model from Quaëdypre is set to represent France at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant to be held in Thailand this November.
