Miss Universe Italy 2024 is Glelany Cavalcante


Glelany Cavalcante was crowned Miss Universe Italy 2024 during the national competition held on September 18 at Villa Cafiero in San Fernando di Puglia.

The 30-year-old model and entrepreneur originally from Brazil bested 20 other contestants to win the title. She became the first Brazilian and married woman to become Miss Universe Italy.

Giada Folcia and Marika Nardozi were named the first and second runners-up while Rachele Perelli and Catalina Jacob rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

Completing the Top 10 were Carlotta Maggiorana, Federica Ligato, Angela Etiope, Veronica Siniscalchi, and Carolina Trombatore.

The new Miss Universe Italy succeeds last year's winner Carmen Panepinto and will now prepare to represent Italy at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November.

Giulia Zanoni, representing La Unión, was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2025 on Friday, September 26 at Palacio Tecleño in Santa Tecla. The 20-year-old international relations student succeeds last year's winner Florence Gisselle Garcia and will represent El Salvador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Alva Echegoyen of La Paz finished first runner-up and was crowned Miss International El Salvador 2025. She will head to Japan, also this November, for Miss International 2025. Karla Bacigalupo was crowned Miss Peru 2025 (Miss Universe Peru 2025) in a national competition held last Sunday, June 15 in the historic city of Cusco. The 33-year-old actress and producer will now prepare to represent Peru at Miss Universe 2025 to be held in Thailand this November. Miss Universe 2026 host country and venue officially announced

The Miss Universe Organization has officially confirmed that Puerto Rico will be the host country for the Miss Universe 2026 pageant. Puerto Rican politician Jenniffer González Colón also made an announcement in a conference held on Tuesday, September 23 in San Juan. The 75th Miss Universe edition will be held in November 2026 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, the largest indoor entertainment and sports arena in Puerto Rico. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark was present at the conference alongside former winners from Puerto Rico — Deborah Carthy-Deu (1985), Dayanara Torres (1993), Denise Quiñones (2001), and Zuleyka Rivera (2006). Former Miss International Queen winner Nguyen Huong Giang has been officially announced on Wednesday, September 25 as Miss Universe Vietnam 2025. The 33-year-old model, singer and actress from Hanoi made history as the first ever transgender woman to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe. Huong Giang rose to prominence when she joined the fourth season of Vietnam Idol. She also competed and won The Amazing Race Vietnam 2014 with her ex-boyfriend Criss Lai.
