Miss Universe Nicaragua 2024 is Geyssell García


Geyssell García has recently been announced as Miss Universe Nicaragua 2024 and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November.

The 29-year-old model and travel enthusiast from Santo Tomás, Chontales succeeds Sheynnis Palacios who achieved Nicaragua's historic first win at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador.

No stranger to pageantry, Geyssell has competed in the Miss Nicaragua 2020 pageant where she emerged as the first runner-up.

""Being able to fulfill one of my greatest dreams is definitely a great blessing from God," said the new Miss Universe Nicaragua.

"Representing my Nicaragua is one of my personal goals that I thought I would no longer achieve, but destiny puts everything in its place, at the right time and moment," she added.

Danielle Latimer beat over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Great Britain 2025 on Saturday, July 26 at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales. The 36-year-old entrepreneur, stylist and photographer will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Luissa Burton and Leigh Hutchinson were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner Christina Chalk crowned her successor at the end of the event. Miss Universe 2026 host country and venue officially announced

The Miss Universe Organization has officially confirmed that Puerto Rico will be the host country for the Miss Universe 2026 pageant. Puerto Rican politician Jenniffer González Colón also made an announcement in a conference held on Tuesday, September 23 in San Juan. The 75th Miss Universe edition will be held in November 2026 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, the largest indoor entertainment and sports arena in Puerto Rico. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark was present at the conference alongside former winners from Puerto Rico — Deborah Carthy-Deu (1985), Dayanara Torres (1993), Denise Quiñones (2001), and Zuleyka Rivera (2006). Former Miss International Queen winner Nguyen Huong Giang has been officially announced on Wednesday, September 25 as Miss Universe Vietnam 2025. The 33-year-old model, singer and actress from Hanoi made history as the first ever transgender woman to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe. Former Miss Queen of Portugal Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2025 last Saturday, June 14 in the beautiful and historic city of Elvas. The 26-year-old from São Sebastião, Setúbal made history as the first married woman and mother to become Miss Universe Portugal.
