Miss World Nigeria 2025 is Joy Mojisola Raimi of Osun State


Joy Mojisola Raimi bested over 30 other contestants to be crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025 on Friday, April 4 at the Balmoral Event Center in Lagos.

The 24-year-old, representing the state of Osun, also bagged the Miss Photogenic award. She will now prepare to participate in the Miss World 2025 competition to be held in India this May.

"I have always dreamt of the Miss World platform — and on the day I called my chaperone to begin this journey, I was filled with fear and doubt. But somehow, that call lit a fire in me. A fire that carried me here," Joy shared online.

She also wrote, "This is not just a win — it is a call. A call to serve, to inspire, and to bring home the crown we’ve all dreamed of."

No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss World Nigeria is a former Miss Intercontinental Nigeria. She participated in Miss Intercontinental 2022 in Egypt and placed second runner-up.

Cuba's Juan Carlos Ariosa wins 8th Mister Global competition

Mister Global Cuba Juan Carlos Ariosa beat 38 other competitors to win Mister Global 2022 held on Saturday, February 11 at the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The 28-year-old actor, model, and dental surgeon originally from Matanzas, Cuba succeeded Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam for the coveted international title. He also bagged the Mister Photogenic award. Athenna Crosby of California bested over 40 other contestants to win the Miss World America 2024 pageant on Sunday, November 17 in Seattle, Washington. The 26-year-old American-Venezuelan model and actress succeeds last year's winner Victoria DiSorbo and will now prepare to represent the United States of America at the 72nd Miss World. Kimberly Nwankolo of Oregon was named first runner-up while Anne Li of the District of Columbia, Aishwarya Kumar of Central Washington, and Heather Alexia Santos of Washington were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The 24-year-old real estate agent succeeds last year's winner Anne Baldridge and will now proceed to represent Maine at Miss USA 2025. Jennifer Barreto of San Sebastián triumphed over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026 on Thursday, June 25 in Caguas. The 27-year-old psychologist will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in the Caribbean island this November. Melissa Bottema was proclaimed the winner of Miss Netherlands 2026 (Miss Universe Netherlands) on Saturday, June 27 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 25-year-old social worker, gymnastics coach and model from Groningen was crowned by her predecessor Nathalie Mogbelzada who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2025 last November in Bangkok, Thailand. Kamilla Kiss, 25, was crowned Miss Universe Hungary 2026 on Friday, June 19 at Kálmán Imre Theater in Budapest. She beat 11 other contestants to win the national competition and will now prepare to represent Hungary at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November.
