Nadia Mejia-Webb crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025


Nadia Mejia-Webb, representing Comunidad USA, was crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 26 at Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil.

The 29-year-old model and singer will now prepare to represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November.

Daphne Currat of Tungurahua and Christie Termidor of Región Sierra were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Christiane Marques of Guayaquil and Mariola Vejarano of Guayas rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark was a special guest at the pageant.

The new Miss Universe Ecuador succeeds last year's winner Mara Topić who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico.

Nadia is the daughter of Ecuadorian musician Gerardo Mejia and former Miss West Virginia USA Kathy Eicher. She is married to Australian Survivor star and actor Sam Webb since 2023.

She is no stranger to pageantry, having won Miss California USA and made the Top 5 at Miss USA 2016. She also joined last year's Miss Universe Ecuador competition and finished first runner-up.

"Making up on my first day as Miss Universe Ecuador and i still feel like I'm dreaming. I can't believe this is my reality," Nadia shared in Spanish after winning her crown.

"Thank you Ecuador for believing in me. This title is not just mine, it belongs to everyone who dreams big," she added.

Miss Turkey 2024: Idil Bilgen wins Miss Turkey World 2024

Idil Bilgen was crowned Miss Turkey World 2024 during the Miss Turkey 2024 national final on Wednesday, September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. The 24-year-old medical doctor bested 19 other competitors to win the national title. She will prepare to represent Türkiye at the 72nd Miss World whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Cemre Üker clinched the Miss Turkey Supranational 2024 crown and will head to Poland to compete in Miss Supranational 2025 next summer. Aylin Molla, Melissa Öykü Yorulmaz, Candan Şeviktürk rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Miss World Organization has officially announced the remaining 25 contestants who were chosen by the judges to join the 15 fast track winners back in Puerto Rico this March. Reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel touched down in Guatemala City this week with her queen sisters Miss USA 2022 Morgan Romano and Miss Teen USA 2022 Faron Medhi. The trio went to the Central American country for Smile Train, the world's largest cleft charity providing safe, high-quality cleft palate surgical care in over 70 countries. Flavia Harizaj was crowned Miss Universe Albania 2025 in a national competition held last Sunday, June 29 at Pallati i Kongreseve (Palace of Congresses) in Tirana. The 28-year-old fashion model who hails from Pennsylvania holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and communication arts. Clara Vegas triumphed over 21 other contestants to win the title of Miss Universe Venezuela 2025 on Thursday, December 4 in Caracas. The 23-year-old model and actress from Miranda will represent Venezuela at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in Puerto Rico.
