Yamilex Hernández crowned Miss Universe Latina 2025
Yamilex Hernández was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Latina 2025 during the culmination of Telemundo's "Miss Universe Latina, El Reality" on Monday, July 21.
The 29-year-old Dominican model and host living in New Jersey received her crown and sash from former Miss Universe winners Alicia Machado and Andrea Meza.
She will now prepare to represent the Latin community of the United States at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November.
Genesis Dávila was named first runner-up while Gemmy Quelliz, Laura Pérez and Andrea Bazarte were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
The first ever Miss Universe Latina winner in history holds a degree in communications, media, and film studies. She has worked in media outlets, including the radio program "Juego de damas" in her hometown.
Yamilex is no stranger to pageantry, having previously joined Miss Dominican Republic twice. She finished as second runner-up in 2021 and first runner-up in 2023.
In 2023, she also represented the Dominican Republic in the 61st Miss International pageant in Tokyo, Japan and made the Top 15 among 70 contestants.
